Let's all get behind the Hump!

26 May 2012, 2000 BST. I'm certainly watching. I'm also watching the semi finals on 22 May 2012, 2000 BST and 24 May 2012, 2000 BST.

I am torn on the subject of the semis. On the one hand I want to watch to see all the songs competing, but on the other hand it ruins it for the final, as it means I've already seen the performance.

I'm looking forward to Eurovision week including both semi's and the grand final. I don't really have a favourite this year and I'm not sure if Sweden will live up to all the hype or pre-contest favourites, although it is a good song. I think the "Hump" will do better with the jury vote that the public vote, and I would be far more confident if he were performing last rather than first in the final. Jedward might just scrape into the final but it will be very tight. My predicted qualifiers are....
Semi 1 - Iceland, Greece, Albania, Romania, Switzerland, Israel, Cyprus, Denmark, Russia, Moldova.
Semi 2 - Serbia, FYR Macedonia, Netherlands, Portugal, Ukraine, Slovenia, Croatia, Sweden, Turkey, Norway.
One day I shall return!

From your post, am I to take it that it's a jury vote this year then?

50/50. In event of a tie, televote takes precedence.

I always mean to ask you - have you sat down and listened to all of the songs, or are you just basing it on the odds being offered by bookmakers?

I'm sick of the Swedish song already. I keep hearing it on the radio at places where I can't change the station, or in the background at various places. It's been number 1 in the Finnish charts. It's just so typically Eurovision - I thought that even before I knew it was an entry this year. Why do people like that crap?

I'd find that worse than a Cardassian labour camp.

For the record, I don't really like the Swedish entry. It's only just in my Top 10, and wouldn't have been in it at all had Belarus not revamped their song. I really like the UK, Norway and Malta (in that order). France is growing on me...

I have heard only one of this year's entries so far. And you can guess which one, because my prediction is that it will finish near the bottom.
