Does Hillingdon still have Swakeleys in brackets on the roundels on the platform?

I remember entering or exiting Kensington (Olympia) without using ticket barriers, though I'm not completely sure, and it would have been a number of years ago.

Speaking of close stations i love West India Quay, Canary Wharf, Heron Quays on DLR!

You can see all three from each other!

Also if you are counting Walthamstow Central because the Underground station does not have any surface building although the National Rail station does, would not this also apply to some London mainline termini (e.g. Charing Cross)? Or does Charing Cross Underground have a building somewhere I've forgotten about?

Edited - just spotted that you have listed Charing Cross Bakerloo having no building. Does your list imply there is a Northern Line building?

As far as I am aware it is still like that, or at least it was back in the late spring.

Not sure how you'd put this on, but I do know the trivia fact that Stratford on the Central is officially underground. Can't remember where I heard that now - possibly on District Dave's forum (God rest his soul).

Neither of the two exits from Olympia have barriers, and if you go over the bridge to exit to Russell Road you have to go back on to the paltform find an Oyster reader if you're using PAYG.

Other unbarried stations are Finsbury Park, Woodside Park (N/B only) and Mill Hill East.

Nige, as far as i can think ... Charing Cross is all underground, yes. even the Trafalgar Square entrance (currently closed). should be listed as both Northern and Bakerloo, really yes, but i decided just to have one per station.

You can add "Great Central" to the list of old station names for Marylebone :P

Diamond Geezer has pointed out in his blog post today (on the 100th anniversary of the first escalator on the Underground network) that Stratford has now joined Greenford in having escalators up from street level to the Central Line trains.

PS Geoff - you've added Swakeleys to your list, but have spelled it with one 'e' missing.

Ok, here's one for you., at Statford most people know that westbound Central line trains open its doors on both sides of the carriage, but there is another station on the network where this happens (not Central line) - can anyone tell me where it is?
