Politics

Sorry, I'm right wing.

Let me explain my views, on which you can discuss:

Margaret Thatcher was a good prime minister.
Ed Miliband is the only man who thinks you can SPEND your way out of a debt crisis.
Nick Clegg is holding David Cameron back (bad thing).
George Osborne is an amazing man.

This!

Although I disagree about Maggie... she was the best Prime Minister this country has ever had. We could do with her back in Number 10 right now.

Aside from Churchy (Conservative - EPIC WIN!) of course.

My Maths teacher (yes, the same one who asked me how to get from Mile End to Totteridge and Whetstone) said that the oppposition has to be strong to make the government stronger. At which point, the right wingers in the class (Me and 2 others) piped up with "But not too strong or it's a landslide like '97."

And my Geography teacher told me off for being right wing! :x

Nope, even better than Churchill. Aside from the Second World War, he did nothing of note and was summarily turfed out of office by the electorate at the end of the war. Yes, he served a second term but achieved nothing of note. In fact, his second term was so anonymous that many casual observers do not even realise that he served a second term.

Ah, yes. Too true. In my opinion, the 4 worst politicians of history are (Not in Order): Gordon Brown, Tony Blair, James Callaghan, Ed Miliband.

Now more pressing matters - Who do you want for mayor?

Under RedKen, the record for the tube challenge was broken 7 times in 8 years.
Under Boris, the record has currently been broken 6 times in 3 years.

Die Hard tube enthusiasts should vote Boris!

This may be me being a bit daft, but what part of tube challenging is dependent on the person in charge at City Hall? Or is that just two correlated stats that are completely unrelated?
Holder of the slowest recorded 274 attempt: 4 months, 1 day, 9 hours, 17 minutes, 32 seconds.

It's the fact that the Tube Upgrade works.

It's the fact that the Tube Upgrade works.
But the way transport infrastructure upgrading works, a lot of the upgrades that have happened in the past three years were instigated under 'RedKen' and not 'BlueBoris' :)

(You can use statistics to prove anything - 86% of all people know that. 1 in 3 people make up 33.3% of the population)

Got this at HOTH today (or a representation of it):
BACK BORIS
Cut Crime, Keep Council Tax low and invest in our transport system

Join the campaign toady
BackBoris2012.com/volunteer
(Picture of BJ)
On the other side:
BORIS JOHNSON
DELIVERING ON MY PLEDGES

I PLEDGED TO...
Beef up police presence on our streets by cutting red tape and employing more officers
Implement serious strategies to tackle gun and knife crime, working closely with community groups
Make Transport safer by putting more uniformed officers on buses and station platforms
Protect our green, open spaces and encourage more recycling across the boroughs
Stretch the taxpayer pound, axe waste and overspending and make City Hall spending transparent

I DELIVERED...
A Cut in crime of 9% with robberies down 20%. By 2012 there will be more than 1,000,000 visible police patrols.
The Time for Action programme to tackle youth violence with youth violence down by 15% and over 10,000 knives taken off the streets.
An extra 500 transport police officers and banned alcohol on buses and tubes, reducing crime on the buses by 30% and on the DLR and Tube by 25%
Over 9,500 new Street Trees, created over 800 new green spaces for Londoners to grow their own food and set up the London Waste and Recycling Board.
A freeze in City Hall's share of council tax, published all City Hall spending over £500 and scrapped Ken's propaganda paper, The Londoner which cost £3,000,000 per year.
