It is important to be dignified in this manner. George Osborne was crying, though.

Never mind. She'll be in the ground by tonight, and then we can all forget about her. Finally.

I thought she was being cremated, so she'll be scattered somewhere.

Then again, "the lady's not for burning"

I presume they'll have to smelt her. Or maybe leave her to rust in peace.

OK, I was reading back to the start of this thread, and I remembered the political chart that shows where a few of us stand.

The test to determine your "figures" is here: http://www.politicalcompass.org/test

Root compiled a crowd chart, containing a few of us and our scores. I believe this is the most up-to-date version: http://tinyurl.com/oq53a97.

When I first did the test back, in 2011, my scores were: Economic L/R: -3.00 and Social Lib/Auth: 0.36. Having taken the test again, I now score:

Economic Left/Right: -3.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.46

So I have become more socially liberal, and slightly more liberal economically. I wonder how many others of us are slowly moving left as we get older? I expect Hopeless Traveller to keep moving right, before he grows up and sprouts opinions of his own, and not those the Tories and Daily Mail feed him on a daily basis.

I just did the test and came out pretty near Mandela. I didn't completely understand all the questions though.

I don't think a lot of people do - some of them need a "don't know" or "no opinion" option.

Agreed. I just took the test and that's where it left me.

http://tinyurl.com/pfuxg2s - this one contains my score as well.

Yes, as most people get older I think they move generally to the left.

I'd love to see HT's results in 30 or 40 years' time.

I've gone further right but more liberal.

And I believe this is now the most up-to-date version.

My browser crashed just after I got the result and I'm not doing it again as it was quite time consuming. I can't remember the decimals but it was about -6 (which surprised me) and -3.
