Re: cycling around the british isles
An update to this is that i have finally worked out how many miles roughly it is 3,600 miles and it will have to be done anti clockwise as some of the ferries i wish to catch will not be open then until easter weekend 2012.
also i cant travel over the Black isle shame thats really scenic and we have taken a small short cut at swansea as well our travel plans are roughly the saqme we worked out an average 90m for 40days some more some less.

Have you given up on the idea of posting me the entire route so I can put it up here?

funnily u should say that i have 2 weeks off soon so going to scout this in a car the problem i find is some of the connections are hard to scout for especially if i stuck on one side of an estruary.so more local knowledge is needed.tubeguru wrote:I take it you gave up on this idea then?

I have a feeling that the Itchenor Ferry only runs during the summer.

The Itchenor Ferry is essentially a fishing boat that crosses the harbour. One man and his dog!tubeguru wrote:I'm Itchen to know if it does ...

The best type of ferry in my opinion. No duty free then?
