I noticed that Matt actually came first out of the whole site for the Turkish GP. Well done!

ESPN Classic generally "really is worth a look if you haven't had a chance yet."
But yes the F1 that's been on of late has been good, especially as Murray Walker was the commentator!

I didn't do very well at Valencia. The Mercedes team have really been letting me down, and I've just about lost faith with them now. I think I might go for a few surprise picks at the next race (Silverstone, isn't it?).

You're ignoring the fact that I'm rubbish in this sweeping statementscrxisi wrote: All to play for really, anyone down to 6th realistically could probably still win

Re: Formula 1 discussion
I didn't receive the "call for picks" email ahead of this weekend's German Grand Prix, so for the first time this season, I'm relying on my previous set of picks.

Don't forget picks for Belgium! Formula 1's back this weekend, and it's my favourite track of the year
Re: Formula 1 discussion
What a Brilliant race Belgium never disappoints the true racing fans Rain crashes Hamilton victory hmm looks to me like a 2 horse race for the title unless something mad happens.

At least Spa is an interesting circuit. It has hills, forests, scenery generally - and I hadn't remembered quite how up-and-down it is! Always the potential for something interesting to happen.

Re: Formula 1 discussion
You're right. I think the most interesting tracks are the ones that have been built into the landscape - then if the ground rises, so does the track. The new generation of Tilke-designed tracks are all flat circuits built into big empty spaces, with the desert ones in particular being very dull.rhubarbrhubarb wrote:At least Spa is an interesting circuit. Re: Formula 1 discussion
The Pick 6 results for the recent Italian GP have just been emailed, and it makes things very interesting in the Tube Challenge league.
I'm in the lead, but only by two points from Peter, who has entered one round fewer. He and Matt would both be ahead of me, had they not missed any rounds. Sam and Al are a bit further back but not out of the running just yet, meaning it's a five-horse race for the championship. Just like in F1
Looking at the whole site's competition, I notice that eight out of the top 10 are from Finland, including the whole top four
Hopefully everyone remembered to enter this weekend! I predicted F.Alonso; L.Hamilton; S.Vettel; M.Webber; J.Button; F.Massa; R.Kubica; N.Rosberg; R.Barrichello; N.Hulkenberg, but having followed the Friday practice, I think the Red Bulls might be at the front for most of the weekend.

This is now a triple post Am I the only one that enjoyed this game?
Sadly, the Pick 6 website has a message from its administrator that reads:
If we decide to run our own version, I'd be quite happy to do it.

So if we want to do it again this year, we'll either have to find somewhere else, or run it ourselves. I don't think Motorsport.com's new "fantasy racing" thing will be at all the same; instead it'll be something where you have to pick two drivers and a reserve driver and effectively manage a team for the season, scoring points as your drivers do.Motorsport.com will no longer be running the F1 P6 competition in 2011. We have exciting developments in fantasy racing coming and we hope that you will join us when we launch them later in the year on the new Motorsport.com!
If we decide to run our own version, I'd be quite happy to do it.
