League Tables website

Post by jonny »

Seeing as there has been no progress reported on tubeguru's wiki thing, I have decided to go on and make this.

The website is now properly functional with an apparently full list of z1 times (achieved after a few hours of research and much help from SoupDragon), along with what I understand to be correct tables for other challenges. I will add other challenges to the mix, and other results to existing challenges on request. I have also included 'player profiles' for various prolific tube challengers which show (so far) only the name and their top times where applicable. I have not got these for everyone, but will be adding people to it as I remember them and on request. There is a links page.

On the individual challenge pages I shall be adding (over the next few days, hopefully) basic guides to what the challenges are for those who are knew to the stuff.

Please visit http://www.jonnylyon.net/tubechallenge .

Cheers,

Jonny

Thanks for doing that Jonny; it's nice to have these tables at a glance.

Have you left off 275 times deliberately?

I think the problem is that the 275 should have a sticky on the forum... I really don't have a lot of info about who has completed and their times.... Strange really when we have so many stickies for alternative challenges......

Jonny

You need to research this and add to your challenge page

Just checking :-)

I've got so many things on the go this morning I'm reading things very briefly.

Peter, you can have a thing as soon as I get round to it :D.

I will start on a 275 thing tonight, but that is likely to be quite hard to get data for so I would appreciate it if people could PM/email me their times.

Good Work Jonny, I will check the lists when I have time to see if there are any further times to add. I also think it would be good to see a list of full network challenges as well. However would you include a list of all attempts and then rank unsuccesful attempts in terms of total stations visited? i.e. our first attempt was 273 stations in 19h42m19s.

Personally I think it would be good to have a list of all times including those who did not manage all stations.
One day I shall return!

But then any Tom Dick or Harry would (for the sake of consistency) have to be included on the list. After all, my mate down the road has done fifteen stations on his way to work in an amazing time of thirty-five minutes!

I think it is likely to just be times that have got around the whole system within 24 hours, within the rules that GWR have set for the time.

No, no, no. He may well of done, but when he set off for work he only had the intention of visiting those 15 stations and not the other 260......

I think you should be on the list if you have made an attempt to visit all the stations and had to abort for whatever reason....... 8)
