I hadn't realised we were allowed to effectively start somewhere else if our route took us through Westminster again.

I shall bear it in mind when devising a route next year.

Just to clarify this point because there still appears to be some confusion.
For the "Official Zone 1 Day" time everyone had to use Westminster as the starting station and based upon this John Stark was the winner with a time of 2h 47m 30s.
However, anyone that choose to depart eastbound on the Jubilee line could in effect start a second Z1 time on departure from Southwark, because they would be visiting Westminster & Waterloo again during the same challenge, thus deducting 3m 40s. On this basis John set a new Zone 1 record of 2h 43m 50s.
It terms of the Top Times for the Z1 challenge only the faster time would be included as both times were part of the same attempt.
One day I shall return!
