The only thing I worry about is that if all lockdown restrictions are lifted in June, people are going to take that as a green light to go out and do anything they want, without taking into account that the virus will still be around.

And yes, this is a Corona-type post, but I feel it needs pointing out to people that just because the government say you CAN do something, it doesn't mean that you SHOULD. And the vaccine is designed purely to prevent people developing severe symptoms, and needing to go into hospital. It doesn;t make you immune from contracting the disease.

Anyway, that's all I wanted to say on the matter. Hopefully, people will be sensible and still take necessary precautions come June and July.

The "rule" I instigated is to do with the spreading of disinformation, not talking about it at all. We can't go through the rest of our lives never talking about it. It's the content of what is being said that is the issue.

I'm not really in the mood to argue about this in this thread, to be honest.

Suffice it to say that lots of people know the government are lying about lots of things, and know that they are under pressure to ease lockdown as soon as possible. I'm sure a good proportion of the general public don't need you to tell them that.

Anyway, back on topic ...

I think it is best to err on the side of caution until we have the facts. Making predictions for so far ahead in the future in the current climate is bound to end in tragedy.

You can ride on the tube now stop being so worried. You should be more worried about the amount of black stuff you have to pick out of your nose after a full network.

Than a c word which your not allowed to mention.

Im going to organise a tube olynpics if tangy dont.

Too early to say, really. But looks promising. I wouldn't be against holding these slightly later than usual in the year (Aug / Sep, maybe) as they have indicated we will be non-distanced and maskless by then...

With the tube olympics I assume we are planning to hold events during the Olympic fortnight 23rd July to 8th August.

You could start on the 21st July since technically that's the start of the Olympics not the 23rd. The opening ceremony is scheduled for that day but two of the events have had three days of competition before it takes place

I am still planning on holding the delayed Tube Olympics 2020 during the Olympics fortnight starting on the 25th July 2021 (subject to UK travel and leisure restrictions being behind us by then, which by late July should be attainable)!

This is a Central line train to "Woodford via Hainault"- sadly, not no more!

Apologies for mentioning you-know-what, but on the BBC 10 O'Clock News tonight TFL have said they're still going to mandate masks after 19 Jul. For how long - who knows. I don't want to get into the pros and cons of this approach, that's not appropriate for here. But I wouldn't do any challenging, personally, until that requirement is lifted.

With that in mind, I can't see these going ahead?
