See you all on Saturday.
Are there no services that run International to Walsall on a Saturday?

It would also be really helpful if you can highlight the boundaries (or inclusive area) of the Network Daytripper Plus ticket to make it easier to determine when and where extra tickets might be required.

For reference if anyone finds themselves stuck there... the pub The Warwickshire Lad next to Wood Green station is also very nice :)

A2 wrote: 20 Feb 2020, 23:52 Please clarify. Intending to time using phone and take photos from phone. Cannot take photo of phone from phone. What are you expecting from "timed photo"? If time permits could selfie station sign and DMI, but not necessarily going.to be possible.
Photos of selected stations will probably be taken from inside train on your phone. That will be fine. Hopefully showing station sign but doesn’t need to be a selfie.

Daytripper Plus southern boundary is Kidderminster and Longbridge. Also excludes Kenilworth. I will advise any need for extra tickets when I post the selected stations.

I think you mean Wood End. If you end up at Wood Green on the Piccadilly line, your route planning has gone seriously wrong. 😊

Peaky Blinders Top Tip:
Most lines in Birmingham have 15-30 min frequency. But Stratford-on-Avon stoppers and Coventry-Leamington Spa via Kenilworth are only hourly. Even worse are Chiltern’s Stratford-On-Avon-Leamington Spa trains, which are every two hours, so you will need to plan the south-east corner carefully.

Oops, yes. Wood End.

The three most awkward stations are:
- Bordesley
- Bearley
- Claverdon
(and you thought Kensington Olympia was a pain in the backside to do)

Sounds like I did pretty well to manage to catch a Coventry-Kenilworth-Leamington almost by accident on my way back from the NEC last Novemeber then!

Selected stations are: Birmingham New Street, Bearley, Sutton Coldfield, Leamington Spa, Whitlocks End, University, Stourbridge Junction, Claverdon, Birmingham Snow Hill, Kings Norton, Wythall, Tile Hill, Blakedown, Dudley Port and Spring Road.

You will need to buy a Daytripper +. Only extra ticket you might need is Leamington Spa-Coventry. I suggest you buy it on the train, if the guard comes round. See you at New Street by ticket office for 11:00 start. Good luck.

Route v1 planned. Predicted finish time classified for now.

(although subsequently revised due to accidentally going back in time by an hour at one point...)

Should that be predicted time dependant on whether the XCity screws you over or not?

Travel by Tardis or De Lorean is not allowed, as they are not forms of public transport.

Lovely theoretical loopy route based on the map - didn't actually fit with any of the train times :D Will have another bash when I get home later (and then check it against the times the trains actually ran).

Good luck chaps!
