Well, tough shit to the people finishing at Moor Park...

Still, at least I'll be able to cross Dagenham Heathway off my 'tube stations I've entered/exited' list, because it's not easy to justify going there.

Lol.

If was attending, which I obviously won't be, I would suggest a more central pub, so everyone can get there

From Park Royal, a Newbury/Elm finish is highly likely and I therefore approve of the pub choice (the trek into town from the finishing station is not fun, especially when it's done alone in the darkness).

I should also highlight the 364 bus (though this is reasonably well known by seasoned Park challengers) from near Newbury Park to Dagenham Heathway; probably faster than heading in and then out again should you be finishing at Newbury.

The second time Gladstone has been the pre-Parks Challenge parkrun. Might head to Wormwood Scrubs or Osterley in that case.

May I suggest Canons Park parkrun for the next R15?

Which mean's Kev's already worked out a route finishing at Elm Park... ;-)

Thanks for the heads-up on the 364. I'd had a bit of a play around recently trying to find routes between Newbury and Elm but hadn't spotted that one.

Whether or not I can compete depends on the state of my ankle by then (given that this is one of the longer challenges and involves exiting stations just to take a photo then going back inside), and whether or not I'm needed to do a shift in Cholsey booking office that day,

I am working on a route. If it's the 17th, I shall most likely go with my friends. Otherwise, we cannot go.
Zone 1 Challenge (Olympics 2016): 3:44:31.67 - we were very unlucky indeed!
South London Challenge (Summer 2016): 1:58:40 - going to try again soon!
All Lines Challenge (August 2016): 44:38 - happy with this ... For now!

Kev doesn't have a route yet, but yes a finish somwehere East is probably likely!

With regard to Gladstone I wasn't actually parkrunning then and not sure who else ran this with Andrew back in 2013 but as per the op by all means visit a different one if prefered :)

It was just me! My 4th different parkrun venue ever. It was a Santa themed run that day and I turned up looking not very Santa like.

Another bus route that may come in useful for the discerning parkrunner is the 226, which pretty much runs directly between Gladstone Park and Park Royal.

I would have thought from Park Royal, Moor Park would have been the most likely finishing point...

I really should remember to stop speed reading and actually digest the information clearly displayed.

Instead, because of my stupidity, I've spent 3-4 hours working on a route (starting further north) and ending up near the finishing point. Back to the drawing board!

I've worked out a new route. Now to sort out the finer details of which carriage to be in for easiest exit and change a couple of the buses.
