Re: Christmas Park Challenge 2015 - 12th or 19th December
It was going to be "un peu de buggre" whatever we did; this way it's less hassle (we'd have to make our way there overland and then make our way away again unless we were to finish there).
Holland Park will be closed during next year's Park Challenge.

No I definitely agree, rather have the "hassle" at the start than try and work around later.... Looks like next years starting station may well already be sorted as wellThe Orange One wrote:It was going to be "un peu de buggre" whatever we did; this way it's less hassle (we'd have to make our way there overland and then make our way away again unless we were to finish there).

I'd have thought it was more interesting to leave Tufnell Park mid-challenge.Going Underground wrote:No I definitely agree, rather have the "hassle" at the start than try and work around later.... Re: Christmas Park Challenge 2015 - 12th or 19th December
Perhaps, but there's only so many ways to approach Tufnell Park. Buses only come from Kentish Town, Archway and Finsbury Park (OK, there's the 390 from King's Cross, but if you're down there you're better heading to Kentish Town first). There's also runs to some Overground stations, but let's be honest, that's an outside option for approaching Tufnell Park.
This way, there's a clear split as to which direction people head at the start.

I managed to visit 26/24 Park stations during last year's Park Challenge; the extra ones were 'Mill Hill Park' and 'Great Portland Street & Regent's Park' (the old names for Acton Town and Great Portland Street). Let's see how many I get to this year...

I know that they used to be 'Parks' but you don't actually have to do them. The Orange One wrote:I managed to visit 26/24 Park stations during last year's Park Challenge; the extra ones were 'Mill Hill Park' and 'Great Portland Street & Regent's Park' (the old names for Acton Town and Great Portland Street). I know I don't! I just happened to visit them during the challenge because that was how my route ended up.A Challenge wrote:I know that they used to be 'Parks' but you don't actually have to do them. The Orange One wrote:I managed to visit 26/24 Park stations during last year's Park Challenge; the extra ones were 'Mill Hill Park' and 'Great Portland Street & Regent's Park' (the old names for Acton Town and Great Portland Street). I understand you had realised you didn't have to but you can't have a separate record for two reasons: they are no longer park stations and you took the same amount of time so it wouldn't be a new record. The Orange One wrote:I know I don't!
