Is there a time limit or not on this? I was thinking at least 6 hours....

I just ran a test draw and calculated a route; it's around 4 hours. I'd leave at least 6, possibly 7 as I had reasonably nice well known stations and barely any Southeastern, which looks to be the killer bit. This was what I got:

Clapham Junction
Ladywell
Brixton (NR)
Mitcham Junction
Norbury
Elephant and Castle (LU)
Balham (NR)
New Malden
Waterloo East
South Merton
Streatham
Motspur Park
Battersea Park
Sutton Common
North Dulwich

Speaking of reasonably nice stations, Raynes Park looks horrible from the track map. And I never thought I'd see the day when Battersea Park was a pleasant choice!

6 - 7 hours is fine by me, looks like pub/darts time is going to be brief

Raynes Park is fine, its Malden Manor that would be the killer.

There's a nice 5 minute turnaround at Malden Manor! I meant that the Raynes Park platforms look so far apart.

I'm going to have to get paper copies of all the timetables, though. And beware the rugby fans!!

Can I just add that some of these twist rounds are getting ridiculous. I mean 6/7 hours for this if its a shitty draw is kinda pushing the limits of the casual tube challenger. These twists are going against the traditional spirit of the R15, which is 3 or so hours on the tube followed by socialising and darts the rest of the evening. Also it is not at all accessible for newbies, imagine if you are a newcomer and want to join in, but the next R15 is a 'mega' twist like this. I'm all for zones 1-3, DLR, NR twists, but this one and others push the boundary. In my opinion of course.

If you win the championship, you can decide the twist for the first round. I wanted to use my chance to have my say to do something out-of-the-ordinary.

I'm sure the other two twists this year will be a bit less extreme.

Just going through some test draws with the generator and some of the draws I'm coming up with are crazy. There are so many possibilities :) I'm looking forward to this

I would also like to secure a partner; preferably one with some access to Google Maps, there are so, so many potential runs in this.

This is why myself and friends do challenges as teams, as we can do different jobs on the day, Apart from the management and fundraising jobs in the team. On the day, 2 of us in the team are lucky enough to have the station master app, to help us. We are just simply trying to do our best on the day, as this is the first random 15 challenge we have done. On the day though, my team might be doing a 11 Lines challenge to warm up.

Ah, you are technology challengers then. I'm usually one to take my chances, but when you are playing with 2tph services it is best to be safe, so I have paper copies of the timetables. I just don't particularly want to risk getting lost in South London.

See you all there, Rail Riders included!

Coincidentally, if I want to reach the start on time, I have to maintain a steady 1.8 miles an hour.
