Re: Random 15 Championship 2014/15: Round 5
Those dates look good. The July 2016 date might be an issue for me as it might be around the time that I am planning on heading back home to Oz, but again that is like 15 months away and things may change in that time.

Re: Random 15 Championship 2014/15: Round 5
The results... yes, results. Snooker has finished early (thanks Ronnie) and yesterday evening I scoured my room for the envelope on which the results were written upon and finally found it (must do better, not the first time I have lost the results)...
Random 15 Championship- round 5 results:
Round 5 was a normal round but with a twist- the 15 stations were split into 2. 8 stations which needed to be visited first in envelope 1 followed by the other 7 in envelope 2 which could only be visited once all those in envelope one had been visited.
Anyway, we had 11 challengers in 10 teams (so all teams scoring points).
10th: Richard (RJSRdg) finishing part 1 at Euston and part 2 at St. John's Wood in a time of 04:23:44
9th: Tangy finishing part 1 at Goldhawk Road and part 2 at West Brompton in a time of 04:05:21
8th: Andrew Baker finishing part 1 at East Putney and part 2 at Old Street in a time of 03:57:32
7th: Leam Farrar finishing part 1 at Goldhawk Road and part 2 at West Brompton in a time of 03:55:06
6th: Kevin Brown finishing part 1 at East Putney and part 2 at Westminster in a time of 03:42:59
5th: Nick Gardner finishing part 1 at East Putney and part 2 at St. John's Wood in a time of 03:39:35
4th: Peter Smyth finishing part 1 at Goldhawk Road and part 2 at West Brompton in a time of 03:34:57
3rd: Sam Inman and Andrew Chilcraft finishing part 1 at East Putney and part 2 at Old Street in a time of 03:34:32
2nd: Andrew James finishing part 1 at East Putney and part 2 at Old Street in a time of 03:33:03
1st: The Orange One finishing part 1 at East Putney and part 2 at Old Street in a time of 03:09:41
The leaderboard with 1 round to go (remember challengers who attend all six rounds will drop their worst score) so don't count your lorries just yet...
1st: The Orange One: 44 points (5 rounds attended)
2nd: Andrew Chilcraft: 42 points (5)
3rd: Andi James: 40 points (5)
4th: Kevin Brown: 34 points (5)
5nd: Glen Bryant: 33 points (4)
6th: Damian Cook: 29 points (4)

I made a spreadsheet. If I win, nobody can overtake me. If Hugo ties with me, we tie the championship.

Re: Random 15 Championship 2014/15: Round 5
It would seem the championship is mathematically between myself, Andrew Chilcraft, Andi James and Glen. Here is the league table with points dropped. Basically, these are our scores going into the final round, and the other table is our minimum scores.
=1st: The Orange One: 38 points (5 rounds attended)
=1st: Andrew Chilcraft: 38 points (5)
3rd: Andi James: 36 points (5)
4th: Glen Bryant: 33 points (4)
5th: Kevin Brown: 30 points (5)
6th: Damian Cook: 29 points (4)
7th: Matthew Cook: 22 points (3)
8th: Tangy: 19 points (5)
9th: Peter Smyth: 18 points (5)
10th: Nick Gardner: 17 points (4)
=11th: Andrew Baker: 16 points (5)
=11th: Sam Inman: 16 points (4)
13th: Martin Orr: 10 points (1)
14th: Tom Locke: 8 points (2)
=15th: Aaron Dadd: 7 points (2)
=15th: Richard Martin: 7 points (1)
=17th: Adham Fisher: 5 points (1)
=17th: Myles Swaine-Gray: 5 points (1)
19th: Leam Farrar: 4 points (2)
=20th: Alex Stares-Tate: 1 point (1)
=20th: Rhys Benjamin: 1 point (1)
=20th: Richard (RJSRdg) (1)
For Glen to win, myself and Andrew Chilcraft would have to come 5th or worse and Andi James would have to come 3rd or worse along with a Glen win. Not an impossible situation, mind you!
Otherwise, if one of the other three of us wins this round, they automatically win the championship. If I draw with Andrew Chilcraft, in which case he wins the championship, not me.
Oh, unless Andi James comes 1st and Andrew Chilcraft comes 2nd, in which case as they both would have two wins, a second place, a third place, a fifth place and a seventh place, that seems to be a dead heat.
If I come in 2nd along with Andrew Chilcraft and Andi James won, then it would still be a dead heat between Chilcraft and James, because I would have only one win to their two each, despite having two seconds and two thirds.
My best bet would seem to be that myself, Andrew Chilcraft and Andi James all finish near the bottom of the table, in which case we all drop Round 6 and I win.

If there is a dead heat, we'll pick another 15 stations and send you two out again on a tie break, while we all sit in the pub and play darts!
