Re: Park Challenge 2014
I can do Satruday 27th Dec if the whole network is open?
If so could tie in with a parkrun
If not how does 23rd or 30th Dec sound? They are really the only 3 days that I can do....
Failing that 31st Dec is only other one....

Re: Park Challenge 2014
27th, 30th and 31st are all out, as the District is blockaded west of Embankment, and the Circle from Edgware Road to Aldgate via Victoria, meaning four stations are conventionally unavailable. Ravenscourt Park and Chiswick Park can both be visited on the Piccadilly (Ealing Broadway fun!). Wimbledon Park is still available through Rail Replacement bus, but St. James's Park is completely impossible.
All London buses: 23 hours 25 minutes (with Adham, David, Josh and Tangy)
Holds some alternative challenge records. Not sure which ones.

How about Dec 13th no closures are scheduled and could have a pre-Parkchallenge Parkrun as well.

I hadn't looked that early in the month but 13th Dec works for me

Just seemed a good date far enough away from christmas that I can attend. And of course a Saturday so Parkrun.

Re: Park Challenge 2014
13th Dec would be OK for me.
The other question is where to start? We have done Woodside, Elm, Newbury, Moor, Wimbledon and Canons so far. That covers the obvious starting stations, so either we repeat a station, or start somewhere more central.
In terms of parkruns, Finsbury Park is an obvious choice, or Chiswick Park (Gunnersbury).

Tufnell Park would be interesting - with the lifts it would be very difficult to judge when to start your watch.

Re: Park Challenge 2014
I tell you what, go and start at Green Park. To make the routes just that little bit more diverse. I might actually be able to make so early in the month, though can't make promises atm.

Re: Park Challenge 2014
I seem to recall that we discussed starting at Belsize this year, which would also tie in nicely for Hamsptead Heath parkrun
