New alternative animal challenge

Post by TC95 »

In addition to the Mouse challenge, could it be time to explore a few other animals that have cropped over in the system. The page at the bottom lists 22 other animals hiding in the underground map that we could use...

Nah, most of these are ridiculous.

Though actually, surely any challenge for Hounslow West the Hound would start at Hounslow West, same for any of the others...

Holds some alternative challenge records. Not sure which ones.

As with the mouse all stations inside have to be visited as well. Some of the aminals have merit.

Well done for taking the time to draw them.

Some of those are quite nice. For no special reason, I particularly like the Angel Fish.

Some could be done as line challenges rather than station challenges. #12 Turtle particularly.

The mapping seems a bit old: no Circle to Hammersmith, ELL; #17 has a replacement bus version of the ELL.

#15 doesn't make any sense as an Alternative Animal Challenge.

Also, would they be tubes only or TfL All Modes? Many of them involve the DLR at least. And they also need to be drawn on the current map to make sense.

well not all of them could be used as challenges, but they are there as potential inspiration. So could potentially be used at some point. The elephant, fish and the whales could work

I think the Elephant and Castle, Angel, Hounslow West, Perivale, Whitechapel, Mudchute, Wapping, Woodside Park, Finsbury Park, Waterloo and Tooting Bec animals might make good challenges.

Alternatively, the Alternative Animal Challenge: the 22 stations given (Barking, Elephant and Castle, Angel, Hounslow West, Perivale, Oxford Circus, Whitechapel, Caledonian Road, Queen's Park, Hornchurch, Mudchute*, Bayswater, Wapping*, Woodside Park, Hounslow Central, Tufnell Park, Canada Water, Finsbury Park, Upney, Waterloo, Rotherhithe*, Tooting Bec), plus Stratford the Mouse, and the pub for the Bottle!!

Timer stops upon arrival at the pub, which must have been suggested countless times before for alternative challenges (obviously the Biathlon does this, but nothing else, really).

*Wapping and Rotherhithe must be visited by Overground. Mudchute must be visited by DLR. All other stations must be visited by LU.

I would happily do that as a challenge
