I shall bring my scientific calculator and numbered list of stations as well, in case someone fancies another method.

By the way, this is how to turn a (modern) scientific calculator into a Random 15 Generator:

- The calculator should have a random number function, which gives you random decimals between 0 and 1. Find out how to use it.
- Switch it into integer-only mode (on most calculators this is found by pressing Mode a few times, then Fix, then 0. This rounds decimals to the nearest integer).
- Count and number your station options (for a LU only, Z1-2 this is 132 stations, and I shall use this number for examples)
- Type in (132 x random decimal) + 0.5=
- Cross-reference with your list, this should give you a station
- Press equals every time you want another one (if you get the same one again, just discard)

This looks complicated, but once you have a calculator set up and your station list ready it can take less than two minutes to generate 15 stations (and most of that time is noting them down).

Please note there is a minute possibility of getting 133 from this process - I haven't yet though, and I've probably generated over 500 stations in the Z1-2 range.

Holds some alternative challenge records. Not sure which ones.

You could make 133 a pub, a bit like the 19th hole; )
Held some Alternative Challenge records for a long time.
Doesn't any more.

Most random number generators use a range from exactly 0 to strictly less than 1 (0 <= n < 1) so 133 shouldn't be possible.

Anyway:

For those Wimbledon parkrunning, how are people planning to get there? For me, nursing from Putney station looks most sensible.

Victoria to southfields then a gentle walk possibly doing a couple of laps of the route as warm up.

Any news if we will get banned stations before the day Tangy.

What are the penalties of visiting the banned stations/what happens if we visit them accidentally (e.g. Holborn to Tottenham Court Road, except TCR is suddenly closed and the train continues to Oxford Circus)?
Will get back to you, still need to think this one through.
Figured it out yet?

I thought about bringing my bucket along tomorrow and the challengers present after the Cannon Street run will pick out the banned stations.

Should you find yourself accidentally having to visit a banned station (due to the previous station being suddenly closed, due to a security alert or similar) are you allowed to backtrack via the SAME route to an unbanned station and re-routeing from there. The penalty will come in the form of an increase to your overall time due to you having to double back and re-route.

This is a Central line train to "Woodford via Hainault"- sadly, not no more!
