I'm pretty confident it would be impossible to complete in one day. There are many stations with only 2 trains per hour and a couple that are peak-only so you would waste a lot of time waiting for trains.

Sudbury & Harrow Road, for example, has ~5 stopping trains heading into town in am peak, and ~5 stopping trains heading out of town in pm peak only
London Overground: 1 10:28:25 with Lewis Nagle and Aubery Morandarte
Mouse: 4 1:27:58
Alphabet: 1 5:14:20
R15: 2 1:55:48 with Rhys Jackson and Rhys Benjamin

I knew it was about that but couldn't give a definitive answer without consulting the timetable

Given that just the London Overground takes over 6 hours (although you might not have to go further than Hatch End towards Watford), it's probably impossible. Plus what about Heathrow Terminals or Stratford International? What do you define as London? Pretty sure it's impossible with all the many lines in the South.

Also, be very, very thankful for the Shared Rails rule, because Hanwell would be a disaster otherwise.
