4 they are two separate stations

Also I may need bus help from The Tangster to get me back to Waterloo if this tube strike happens :!:

From GPS to Waterloo? I would suggest the 88 or 453 to Trafalgar Square and then walking across Hungerford Bridge.
Alternatively, the 88 to Vauxhall (if your train stops at Vauxhall) does a pretty good job (I've used it many times for Z1s).

Scenario 1:
Time is nearly expired. I'm on a Circle line train from Baker Street towards Edgware Road. At Edgware Road I change onto a District line train. It visits Paddington (Bak/Dis/Cir) then visits Bayswater and time expires.

Scenario 2:
Time is nearly expired. I'm on a Circle line train from Baker Street towards Edgware Road. At Edgware Road I change onto a Circle line train. It visits Paddington (Bak/Dis/Cir) then visits Bayswater and time expires.

These are essentially the same. Scenario 1 is undoubtedly a line change. Scenario 2 is... ?
Circle- Circle at Edgware Road will not count as an interchange as you changing from one circle line train to another. Outer rail circle (from HSK) to eastbound H&C would be valid for example.
Iain wrote:Eastbound District to westbound H&C at Aldgate East strikes me as legit
Yes, that is a valid move. In a similar way coming in to HSK on a Wimbleware and departing on an inner rail Circle will be valid as the two trains do not share the same track to the next station.

This is a Central line train to "Woodford via Hainault"- sadly, not no more!

What about eastbound Met to westbound H&C at Great Portland Street?

Breach of rule 5 as you would in effect be doubling back on yourself- heading back to Baker Street. Doing that move at Baker Street itself would be valid however.

How would Charing Cross be scored here: Oxford Circus - Charing Cross - Tottenham Court Road - Bank - Waterloo - Charing Cross - Embankment?

Loking possible that just taking part in the 1st half may be good enough for a medal :?:

I have fully prepared and am now riding about randomly. Feeling full of cold and very tired so probably won't be at best performance later.

I'm trying to work out how to be in two places at once.

I'll be at a long-standing puzzling meeting about 1 mile from the GPS pub you'll be at. I could easily do part 1 before going to my meeting. There's a chance I could hop between the two as the puzzle meeting is very informal.

Summary: my attendance status is "sort of".

How very splendid of TfL to cancel the planned stike action this evening as not to disrupt the Tube Olympics :P

Well, that was fun. I didn't know Arriva pulled out of Scotland (the Tangy bus question). I might move to Scotland. First Group certainly have the most comfortable seats (this being a major part of how I rank buses).

May as well reveal mine. I doubt I could replicate the feat.

Gloucester Road  South Ken (via Pic) Victoria (via Circle) Green Park  Westminster  Embankment (via District) Charing Cross (foot) Leicester Square  Piccadilly Circus  Oxford Circus  Warren Street  TCR  Holborn  KCSP  Euston (via Vic) Euston Square (foot) GPS  Regents Park (on foot, though departed).

I had this all planned out, but then I missed the 1812 at Gloucester Road, so out of the window went that plan. Still, lovely changes until 2 minutes at Westminster. Then it was fine (used Mill Hill East service at Charing Cross). Had to ask passengers whether it was eastbound at TCR as I couldn't see the board - it was. Chose Vic at KCSP after one look at a packed Northern Line escalator. Euston to Euston Square drained me (although I was fine by GPS).

Well, I managed to compete. Thanks to tangy and everyone for accommodating my last minute arrival for the quiz phase.

My tube effort was pretty poor, but could have been better with a little luck. As I'd only made a last minute decision to join in I was making it up as I went along.

Whitechapel (District  ) Aldgate East (H&C  ) Liverpool Street (Met  ) Aldgate (Circle  ) Tower Hill seemed like it would be a good start. I actually started at Stepney Green because it still wasn't 5:30 when I got out to Whitechapel.

Got to Liverpool Street, wanting Met + Circle towards Aldgate. What I got was H&C in the platform that went nowhere for 3 minutes+, to be followed by Circle, followed by Met, followed by another Met showing as delayed. Well, yippee!

Decided to just get on the Circle train. Bailed at Victoria to see if I could catch a Victoria line train in the right direction this time (unlike Event 2). Bad decision. Too many people - too long a walk. Lack of station knowledge led to Green Park  Leicester Square  TCR  Oxford Circus all being poor changes. I might just have had enough time to get to Bond Street for one extra point, but I decided to ascend for some fresh air and a walk among the lights of Oxford Street.
