Tube Olympics: Event 1- Mouse. 7th February 2014

Post by tangy »

To open the Tube Winter Olympics for 2014 we have the Mouse challenge.

Start station will be Waterloo for an 18:30 start. Please can we meet up beforehand in the area at the bottom of Exit 7 off the National Rail concourse (this is located in the middle of the concourse by NR platforms 6-9) by 18:25. We then head down to the Tube platforms, same rules apply as for the Zone 1 challenge, you may start on your chosen train AFTER 18:30:00 hours (using the clock on the next train screen).

If you are unsure of which stations are included in the Mouse please see the relevant tab at http://www.explorerticket.co.uk/tubechallenge

The current Olympic record for this event is 01:37:25 set in 2010.

For clarification, if you have a route that passes through Waterloo twice you can reset the clock at your first unique station (and register a faster time) but this time will only count towards the league tables on Explorer Ticket. The awarding of medals will be judged on the first initial start of your stopwatch at Waterloo.

So who's in?

This is a Central line train to "Woodford via Hainault"- sadly, not no more!

Post challenge meet up:

The Goodman's Field (Wetherspoons). Corner of Prescot Street and Mansell Street close to Tower Hill/Tower Gateway.

This is due to me having a clash on this date with a Bus Forum meet at this very pub, so I thought I could merge the two together!

Just checking that you MUST take the first train after 18:30 hours in your chosen direction?

Same rules as per the Zone 1 event. Take first train AFTER 18:30:00 heading to your first interchange.
