Rickmansworth (platform 3)
Watford (Met)
Uxbridge (Met, Pic)
Edgware (Nor)
High Barnet (Nor)
Cockfosters (Pic)

Quite a different selection from what you'd expect!
I don't think Rickmansworth counts as Platform 3 was never used for terminating services. It was only used for locomotive changeovers when electrification only ran up as far as Rickmansworth.

Also Thameslink does not terminate at Moorgate anymore!!!!!!!!! (What about Thameslink terminating platforms at Blackfriars?)

No, but the Thameslink platforms and track still exist at Moorgate. Blackfriars NR is separate from LU. Rickmansworth Platform 3 still exists.

Rickmansworth was never used for service though, so I wouldn't have said that
The Thameslink platforms are technically dismantled, so I wouldn't have said that either. If you are including that then you have to include Charing Cross (Jubilee) and Aldwych (Picc), as they have both got track present!

Plus you forgot Tower Hill

So I did!

The tracks at Charing Cross continue past the platforms. Moorgate still counts due to Platform 3 at least! And the FCC. Rickmansworth is a station, and it does still have that platform (according to Carto Metro anyway).

Perhaps I should mend my description to: "a station with at least a weekly service where a track ends directly adjacent to a platform". That should cover it!

I did also forget:

Wembley Central (there is a track ending next to platform 6)
Woodford (platform 1)
Ealing Common (sidings behind platform 2)

I reckon we could extend it to either Tube and Friends or NR, Tube and Friends. Tube and Friends requires the addition of:
Clapham Junction (platform 1)
Watford Junction (LO)
Euston NR (all)
Gospel Oak (platform 3)
Dalston Junction (platforms 2 and 3)
New Cross (platform D)
New Cross Gate (end of platform 2)
Crystal Palace (platforms 3 and 5)
West Croydon (platform 1)
New Addington (all)
Beckenham Junction (tramlink and NR)
Elmers End (platform 1)
Stratford International (DLR)
Beckton (all)
Woolwich Arsenal (all)
Tower Gateway (all)
Mudchute (platform 3)
Lewisham (all)

Nice and simple, that. I'm having a look at NR, to be nasty.

Regardless of what Carto Metro says, I'd like to see Metropolitan services stop at Rickmansworth platform 3. It still technically exists with track still in situ but never saw passenger service. Aldwych should still be counted under the your previous classification shouldn't it?

As well as Moorgate platform 3, you've got platform 4. Used by H&C and circle lines during engineering works.

I still prefer the "stations at the end of an LU line or branch of an LU line" definition of the termini challenge

It's definitely the best definition, except tractakid's of course. I just put this in for variety, and to show you how so few conventional LU termini follow the actual definition of a terminus station.

In fact, Hammersmith H&C, Stanmore, Chesham, Watford, Uxbridge, Edgware, High Barnet and Cockfosters are the only eight stations on the London Underground network with ONLY terminus-style platforms. Now that would be a short challenge :D
The only question is how you would fit in Hammersmith H&C. Such a bother!

What a challenge that would be!!

An inconvenience yes, a both no; Uxbridge - Ickenham - West Ruislip - White City - Wood Lane - Hammersmith (H&C), simples

What if my definition were amended to "a london underground station that receives no through service for a London Underground line which it serves"?

My first thought is that works rather well. :)

The "track adjacent" version would make Chalfont a terminus as (at least last time I was there) the track from the old shuttle service was still in place
