Hi,

Will there be enough copies of the station list if I turn up?

I have 17 copies of the station list, so I can safely say that's a yes.

This is a Central line train to "Woodford via Hainault"- sadly, not no more!

Could I ask that someone loiter outside and 'accompany' me in? Pub + U18 = bad idea.

You need to lose the comma in front of "unless" - it's superfluous.

But... it still makes sense with it in.

The details of the final round of the 2012/3 Random 15. This was a plain vanilla LU only round with no twists.

The stations that needed to be visited were (despite the spelling errors that crept into the list on the printed copies):

--Clapham South (start)
--Camden Town
--Whitechapel
--Lambeth North
--Bank
--Sloane Square
--Aldgate East
--Queensway
--Holloway Road
--Barons Court
--Warwick Avenue
--Monument
--Shepherd's Bush (LU)
--Paddington (H&C)
--East Acton

The results:
There were 10 participants who all decided to go solo, so in reverse order:

10th: Hopeful traveller: DNF (only visited 14, missed out Camden Town, major signal problems at Farringdon)
9th: tractakid: 03:15:22 finishing Warwick Avenue
8th: RichieG: 03:10:52 finishing at Barons Court
7th: A2: 02:57:15 finishing at Edgware Road (Circle)
3rd=: greatkingrat: 02:52:19 finishing at Sloane Square
3rd=: tangy: 02:52:19 finishing at Sloane Square
3rd=: Going Underground: 02:52:19 finishing at Sloane Square
3rd=: palkanetoijala: 02:52:19 finishing at Sloane Square
2nd: steeevooo: 02:42:53 finishing at Whitechapel
1st: The Raven: 02:40:33 finishing at Warwick Avenue

The points:

The final points scoring positions:

1st: palkanetoijala (+8 but could drop a 5) = 49
2nd: greatkingrat (+8 but could drop a 7)= 48
3rd: Going Underground (+8 but could drop a 4)= 42
4th: The Raven (+12)= 40
5th: Tangy (+8 but could drop a 4)= 39
6th: tractakid (+2)= 22
7th: rhys1995 (0)= 19
8th=: nozzacook (0)= 12
8th=: hopeful traveller (0)= 12
10th=: steeevooo (+10)= 10
10th=: snudge27 (0)= 10
12th=: RichieG (+3)= 9
12th=: mylesHSG (0)= 9
14th: Iain (0)= 5
15th: A2 (+4)= 4

Therefore palkanetoijala is the Random 15 champion for the second year running. Thanks to all 15 competitors who took part throughout the year and the 2013/4 season (with yours truly at the controls) will start in September.

My route

Clapham South :arrow: Elephant & Castle :arrow: Waterloo :arrow: Bank :arrow: Monument :arrow: Whitechapel :arrow: Highbury & Islington :arrow: Holloway Road :arrow: King's Cross :arrow: Camden Town :arrow: Warren Street :arrow: Victoria :arrow: South Kensington :arrow: Hammersmith (Dis/Pic) :arrow: Hammersmith (Cir/H&C) :arrow: Wood Lane :arrow: White City :arrow: East Acton :arrow: Queensway :arrow: Bayswater :arrow: Edgware Road :arrow: Paddington (H&C) :arrow: Paddington (Bak) :arrow: Warwick Avenue

- Nice to met A2 who gave a fright at Paddington after I met up with him
- As we worked out in the pub afterwards IF Stevooo hadn't been delayed at Tower Hill he would have won a couple of minutes instead
- Also, can challengers be a bit more careful on packed spiral staircases. As a certain challenger nearly knocked someone down the whole flight

It was me it was very clumsy and i did apologise in retrospect i have been very clumsy lately i nearly elbowed a women in the head at work knocked somebody out with a tray at work so perhaps im having a clumsy month.

my route was to head straight for lambeth north and change at waterloo for the drain and run through to monument didnt manage to lose anybody and climbing the last escalator saw i had time to walk and rest the last few steps over the bridge.

getting straight onto a lovely train at whitechapel ran up to see if it was matt driving but wasnt lovely girl though matt (blonde hair) where the others stayed at dalston junction i decided to run to dalston kingsland which had the amusing site of 2 trains running side by side they left cannonbury before me but i got to h&i 20s before the others did. this gave me a nice option of getting a lovely bus with glen and tangy to holloway road.

with a switch at kings cross to northern to take out camden town returned back into town and decided to run to gps from warren street tangy right behind me ran on to regents park to cut out warwick avenue that way after somehow running out of station at paddington with kevin and back in the wrong way but closer to bakerloo we db warwick back to paddington where kevin decided to go for bayswater i ran straight to lancaster gate.

knowing that this was the right tactic as kevin tangy and Peter joined me on the platform whilst i was waiting with the contenders for the championship locked together it was a tense final four stations east acton db run to wood lane change at hammersmith and on the pic with one chance gamble for peter to shake me off at Earls court the tense stare off with me egging him on to disemenbark at earls court cleverly holding his run to last second before doors closed i carried on to south kensington and ran up to a crowded platform knowing that no train had gone past and the times would be level at the end.

It has been great year for the random 15 championship first time i have taken part in all 6 rounds had some great laughs and some great beer and dart throwing antics. i think a special thank you must go to martin whom has been a great organiser for zone 1 and the random 15 championship as champion gets the choice in the 1st round next year im going to reveal it now!

for the 1st round the twist will be they will be 1 starting station and 13 random other stations plus station andi! let me explain

i will be at one of these stations in zone 1 that isnt a multi line station so i can be at following stations

sloane square,st james park,temple,blackfriars,mansion house,cannon street,monument,tower hill,aldgate,aldgate eastsouthwark,borough,lambeth north,pimlico,vauxhall,knightsbridge,hyde park corner,high st kensington,covent garden,chancery lane,st pauls,marble arch,lancaster gate,queensway,bayswater,edgware road circle,edgware road bakerloo,marylebone,regents park,gps,goodge street,russell square,euston square,farringdon,barbican,old st,angel

i will stood on the platform at this station i choose in carriage 3 door 2 on left or right and i can be either westbound or eastbound northbound or southbound and i will be there for 4 hours

as the other competitors are going around it will be a thought in the back of their head that they must keep looking out for me when travelling through zone 1 area of course this means that allready i will be last place in this round
