At Newbury Park we started all over the place I seem to recall the teams leaving on many separate trains... In fact I am sure the rules allows a re-start off the watch/photo if you miss the planned train but once you have departed there is no going back.....

Fairly sure that was not allowed the year I tried to take part - you started your watch when you took the photo outside station 1, but once it was started that was it. If you missed your train you just had to get the next one, watch running throughout of course!
We need to find the rules, I remember definitely going back outside Newbury at least once and re-starting....

It looks like the original intention was that you can only start your watch once and if you miss the train that is just your fault for leaving it too late!

At Wimbledon Park you can see the trains coming from the bridge so there should be no excuse for missing the train.

Thanks for that looks like just the one watch start allowed then...

And I remember what happened at Newbury Park... This was when Dr Who worked for TfL and I had a golden oyster card...
I wanted a particular departure and after having seen some other teams off on the platform (including the hilarious Andi/Sara carriage changing incident  ) I had gone back outside and tested the time from snapping photo to platform... So yes the watch was only started once in anger so to speak 8)

You must take an external photo of every Park station, the name being included in the snap is nice as well although tricky at HPK :!:

Interesting note from JP...

TRAVELLING TO WINTER WONDERLAND? Please use Green Park or Marble Arch stations when travelling to and from Winter Wonderland. Green Park station has public toilets and step-free access between the Jubilee and Victoria lines and street level. We expect both Hyde Park Corner and Knightsbridge stations to be very busy and there may be queues and restricted entry at busy times. Reported: 12/11/12 14:26 Last updated: 12/11/12 14:28

What if we can't (re)enter Hyde Park Korner? :O

I can make it on the off peak- as long as there are no delays. Shame there are no Virgin returns from Euston after 20:23 which means I'll need to pay extra for a return valid on London Midland too.

Is there a timeframe for starting the watch? If I only make it to Wimbledon Park for 11:10, for example, due to delays, will I be able to start on a later District train?
