New Overground Circle Challenge

Post by justjosh »

Last night I made the journey with a friend around the new circular overground route. 2 hours on the dot. Started at Whitechapel (clearly could improve the time by starting at a terminus), and went clockwise. CJ change was great - adjacent platforms, 8 min wait. WJ was fine too - same platform and only a 3 min wait. H&I wasn't too bad either. 4 mins sitting at Camden Road (no idea why). And quite fun to travel the new stretch too!

Anyone else done/doing this? It's a lovely route with loads of great views.

Welcome to the tube forum! :D not bad - they call it the 'M25 of railways', when heading up to Denmark Hill for the R15 tomorrow I'm going to be on the new stretch :P
Otherwise known as 'Action Jackson'.

Is there an equivalent to the Mouse or Bottle with this new encapsulated area?

It would be quite a long challenge - over 6 hours I think.

Assuming it is a LU only challenge, I can see a debate erupting about Olympia... inside on the map, outside in real life!

Well on the Bottle challenge you have to visit all stations on or inside the Circle line, so for this you should have to visit all stations on or inside the NLL/WLL/SLL/ELL (including the Overground stations).
