Upper Class tube challenging
Yesterday I came up with 2 new alternative challenges, which may lead to a jolly good time. A cup of tea and jam scones may be suitable while reading through these.
1) The Posh Challenge. Visit all Tube Map stations (Overground +DLR included!) with Manor, House, Palace, Castle, Garden and Court in their name.
Proposed stations to be included: Manor House, Boston Manor, Ruislip Manor, Mansion House, Tottenham Court Road, Earls Court, Barons Court, Ravenscourt Park, Custom House for ExCeL, Limehouse, Ruislip Gardens, Kew Gardens, Island Gardens, Covent Garden, Crystal Palace, Elephant and Castle.
2) The Royalty Challenge. Visit all Tube Map stations (OG+DLR included, Air Line not (as it is not valid on a travelcard)) which reference royalty.
Proposed stations to be included: King George V, Dalston Kingsland, Kingsbury, Barkingside, Barking, King's Cross St. Pancras, Queensway, Queen's Park, Walthamstow Queen's Road, Queensbury, Royal Oak, Royal Albert, Royal Victoria, Park Royal, Prince Regent, Victoria.
If anyone notices any omissions, disagrees with my reasoning, or has any other comments, please do respond.
Anyone want to attempt one of these on an organised day in the near-ish future? Is there a suitable day?

You could add Crystal PALACE to one or both challenges.

You'd need to!
How about Honor Oak Park?

I did think about this. It would go under the Posh Challenge. What do people think?greatkingrat wrote:You could add Crystal PALACE to one or both challenges.
I can't see how this would fit into either challenge.Rhys1995 wrote:You'd need to!

It's worth noting that the Royal Challenge will be reset with the opening of the Overground extension, when Queens Road Peckham will open. I don't know if it would be preferable to set a time on the current configuration, or to set a time on the new configuration, where it can be challenged in the future.

If you add Crystal PALACE then surely you'd need to add Elephant & CASTLE

I'd be up for that. Just point out that the only reason why I mentioned Honor Oak Park was just because it sounded pretty glorious with 'Honor' (despite being spelt the American way!)

Re: Upper Class tube challenging
Right, I think the feeling is to include Elephant and Castle and Crystal Palace, but to exclude Swiss Cottage. I will edit the original post.
Thinking of running the Posh Challenge in half term week. I think it's best to leave the Royal Challenge until after the reset. I will start a new thread to discuss the event, concerning dates, starting times, attendance and rules ETC.

Re: Upper Class tube challenging
All the information is in the other thread. I'll post the key bits here anyway.
Posh Challenge
Wednesday 31st October
Starting Time 12:00 to 12:30 (any valid train in this timeframe), at the station of your choice.
Meet afterwards at the Horse and Groom, Great Portland Street. I'm up for a game of darts, but I don't own any darts. I believe the pub does have darts to use though.
Hope to see as many people as possible there!
