Here's a report from Team Sam, Matt, Mike...

We just missed the Jubilee line that Peter etc managed to get on, had we been allowed to run then we would have made it and probably wouldn't have encountered such s**t luck elsewhere, damn you Antony!! We jumped off at Canada Water where we changed onto the East London Line and headed north to Whitechapel, a short wait for a Westbound district line and we were at Tower Hill, this is where the bad luck began! We really wanted a circle line to check off Aldgate and head around the top of the bottle, it was gutting to see the circle line pulling out as we pulled in. *sigh*

Rather than wait 10 minutes for the next one, we hot footed it to Aldagte and took a Met train to Finchley Road, (lovely air conned trains :D) scrubbing off Euston Square and Baker Street on the way. A lovely change to the Jubilee line and we headed north to Kilburn. We exited Kilburn and ran off down the road to Brondesbury, we were entering the station as the train was pulling away, damn!! 11 minutes later and we got a train to Hampstead Heath intending to run to Belsize Park. We wasted about 10 minutes here, knowing we could catch a bus, and trying to figure out which way we had to go! We finally arrived at Belsize Park and then the lift didn't want to work, I got shouted at by the station man trying to fix the lift, argh, bloody challenge!

Anyway, we got to the Southbound Northern line and went through Chalk Farm and changed at Camden Town for a train via Bank, we headed down to Clapham Common ticking off Borough as we did so!

A rather annoying 2-3 minute wait for a train back Northbound and we got to Elephant and Castle where Matthew chucked himself at a Bakerloo line train as doors were closing, we just about managed to squeeze through the gap, a rather sexy 23 second change! :D Off we went to Piccadilly Circus. Not having an ideal door position, we got stuck behind tourists using the tube for something other than challenging, how dare they! And they cost us a Piccadilly line train, grrr!

After a couple minutes another one came along and we went to Hammersmith checking off Barons Court en route! A quick change to the H&C line station and we got to Wood Lane where we sprinted off on foot arriving at White City only 90 seconds after arriving at Wood Lane which is brilliant for us!! We just missed a train here as well though, so another couple minute wait and we finally got to East Acton in a time of 3 hours, 12 minutes and 59 seconds.

A day that was so frustrating, it started out OK and we were very hopeful as we thought we had a cracking route but long waits accumulating to about 30 minutes cost us, I just wish we had connected Jubilee and Northern in the same manner that Peter did rather than waste oodles of time messing around with the NLL. :(
:D First and so far only female solo record holder!! :D
