Just realised that since the Circle Line was scrapped, if you catch a train on the North part of the Circle going to Hammersmith, there is no way to know whether it is a Circle or a H&C.

I am pretty sure Circle trains heading to Hammersmith show "Hammersmith via Aldgate" on the blinds, need to confirm though.

This is a Central line train to "Woodford via Hainault"- sadly, not no more!

This always begs the question why they don't merge the two lines together.

Only if it's a lazy driver, they normally all show Hammersmith via Paddington after Aldgate.
Held some Alternative Challenge records for a long time.
Doesn't any more.

If my experiences from yesterday are anything to go by, platform and in-train announcements (even anti-clockwise) properly distinguish between the two lines
Attempts: 2 (17h38m, 238 stations) (unknown, 200 stations); Completions: 0; GWR: 0; PBs: 0.

Either 13 or 14 July I will be at Crystal Palace watching the athletics, the last big international meeting before the Olympics.

Any chance it could occur earlier? Then I might be able to make it.... I have my Friday nights booked up all summer. I'm off school that day (posh twat  ) so that would help, but I appreciate work etc.
