New Experience (hopefully).

They call me the hopeful traveller, hopefully.

EDIT: Actually that would be a good signature.

START: King's Cross St. Pancras.
FINISH: St. Paul's.
TIME: 00:55:27

A crap connection getting to King's Cross put me behind by 3 minutes, and I hadn't started yet!

14:27
Left west harrow... #rratt

14:40
Met line's been held thrice... #rratt

15:03:57 was the exact time I left King's Cross on a Westbound Hammersmith & City line train. The fact that I had to either waste time changing more later on mean that, annoyingly, as this is what I was dreading and hoped never to do again, I had to "change" at Euston Square and Great Portland Street. This was a bit of a bummer - 1 min for a Circle Line, 2 mins for a Met Line train (S Stock - win!) before an average door placing meant that I lost a bit of time on the change between the Met and Bakerloo lines, but it didn't make any difference as the next one was in one min.

It was clear to me that to improve my time, I had to abandon the "one stop only" rule - therefore not changing at Regent's Park, Piccadilly Circus or Charing Cross. So, oddly, 2 stops later, I found myself running down a corridor to the Victoria Line.

Green Park. De ja vu. I remember pelting down this corridor last time, and the bloody handrail in the middle of it completely screwed me up - a group of teens were blocking the whole corridor. To the Piccadilly Line. Now surely, this change could not be screwed at Leicester Square. I knew that it was car 1, door 1. Until I found that it was the wrong end of the train. One pelt down the platform later, and one perfect door placement at Embankment put me on course to make a very very very good connection. But I pelted up the stairs and the doors beeped on me. Didn't make it. Bashed my head against a stone pillar. Ouch. On the plus side though, there was a kiosk there. Then I spent 90p on a bottle of water. Another piece of paraphenalia to add to my collection. Not even fast tube drivers could make it up. However Westminster was a pile of crap. The Jubilee Line waited for about 10 seconds (with doors closed) before moving on.

The run to the W&C line at Waterloo was also quite shit - ran through the National Rail station! And I was following the signs! Not good. And I got lost; that's never happened before. The Bank run was slightly better though. Well, I say slightly as I made the train by one whole minute. One hundred seconds to a minute is true.

16:13
No. Didn't do it.

A good all lines requires that you pretty much know the interchanges exactly. it's so short there's no time to get lost! Do a little research and you might even find some shortcuts

Tis true and although I know every central London interchange when doing these fast and furious challenges where you are only going 1 or 2 stops it's not always possible to get in the optimum position... But it will certainly help :!:

Today or Tomorrow. No major changes in the route, per se, just that I've done it in reverse and with minor modifications.

Its one I've never tried but would imagine an all out sprint with exact door positions & station knowledge.
