Re: DLR Challenge
Arrived back this morning from my full network yesterday to find my wife and son not at home. Just got a text from them to say they are doing the DLR Challenge now!

If no-one did it yesterday and today then they will get the record!Nigel wrote:Arrived back this morning from my full network yesterday to find my wife and son not at home. Just got a text from them to say they are doing the DLR Challenge now!
That will be until I bet the record on the 10th!
(May not be the case!)

Re: DLR Challenge
Well they're back now having visted all the DLR stations, including a shopping trip in Lewisham in the middle of it. So they have the record - except that they forgot to time it. (They think it was around 3.25 hours) So I think your attempt on the 10th is safe. The Raven wrote:If no-one did it yesterday and today then they will get the record!Nigel wrote:Arrived back this morning from my full network yesterday to find my wife and son not at home. (Since previously my wife has said I'm bonkers to have any interest in tube challenging, I was somewhat surprised to find that she had gone out today (my 10 year old son's idea). But I don't think she will ever take it seriously.)

Re: DLR Challenge
Hey again guys,
Just to advise you that because of the slight delay in opening we have obviously put our attempt back; specifically, courtesy of my suddenly having a shortage of money, to tomorrow. Thus, come 16:xx (I shan't reveal when exactly), we should have a new record!
Wish us luck if you please, and maybe afterwards I'll become a (semi-?) regular on here!
P.S.: Neil will not make the whole thing up. It isn't even his route.

Re: DLR Challenge
My son now informs me that he wants to do it 'properly' and apparently that means 'with his Daddy' - this is one of the few things he things he thinks I might be better at than his mother. Also he quite likes the idea of being a double record holder - for the DLR and the London Overground. So how long do you think before he's ready for a full network?
