Just wondering - is there a record for covering all lines in full? Can it be done in a day?
(I'm not volunteering, by the way!)

Re: The ultimate challenge?
This will then inevitably raise the question about what you would call the lines in full...

Re: The ultimate challenge?
If you define "in full" as doing each section of line in at least one direction, then it should be possible in one day. There is over 20 hours from the first train to the last train so that gives you a fair amount of extra time compared to a normal full network.

Re: The ultimate challenge?
A full-track challenge would be quite fun, ticking off some of the extremely rare passenger-allowed moves would be quite a task in its own right.
A fuller-track challenge would be even more impossible, to include the sections that are designated as not passenger-allowed. I've only got one of these in the past - the siding entry on the Vic line tour.

The Olympia shuttle may start at Acton Town but it would have to reverse at HSK first before it could reach Olympia.
Some of the early morning Circle/H&C trains do unusual things like Barking - Edgware Road via Tower Hill but they don't cover any new track.
