Have I just invented the "no lines" challenge?

Yes.

Who's got the fastest time for doing no lines?

I tried to do it, got none of the way in and found that kensington olympia was shut. That was after I'd already done no stations, so you can imagine my fury....

To be honest, I don't think I'm going to be able to find the time to do it this year.

It really is very simple. You must not visit Heathrow Terminal 4 by the tube replacement bus service, and you must not pass through Queensway.

Simple.

Also, talking of Queensway - could its re-opening mean potentially faster tube challenge times? Anyone worked it out? I had a crack once, but it didn't seem to make much of a difference.

Can I request for my time to be added to the list on the main site?

Or is it not fast enough?

I will be trying again, but not sure when. I am next down in January, but have a lot planned for that weekend, so wont have time for a tube challenge.

Ask in the special new "my tube challenge times" forum, travelpass, although I'm sure tubeguru will notice your post here too.

I hope I am

One thing about this TubeRelief 2006 idea - all very good and obviously it wouldn't be right to do it for the wrong reasons.

But, as a separate event, who fancies a "Tube Challenge Day", whereby lots of different teams would aim to do the tube challenge (all stations) on the same day?? We could do it on a Friday, find a B+B in Upminster, pop into the London Transport Museum the next day, and stay in town for drinks afterwards. And who knows, a new record might be set.

We may well all start from Amersham in the morning, but it isn't a pre-requisite - people could start wherever they like, and indeed, finish wherever they like - just the idea of us all doing it on the same day.

Or..............we could do an "all stations" challenge, with the starting station pulled out of a hat. How about Belsize Park? :D :D

Might the Transport Museum be a bit of a problem?
