Yeah, I guess it's going to be hard to say "I left at the same time that that train did" or similar.

Oh, well, plan B for Edgware Road then... :D

I don't see what the issue is anyway!

Theoretically all routes run from (e.g) A to Z, but you just don't necessarily start at A. You might start at Q, then to to Z - 'warp round' to A then through to P. Right?

Which i why you either need to i) Plan one route, or ii) - what we're doing - plan no route, and just wing it on the day for fun.

Can't quite understand the fuss people are making about having a contingency/route for every single possible starting station.

I know this is all a facade, Geoff. I KNOW you're not that disorganised. I know you have a route planned for every station, for every possible delayed-line combination and for each individual possible weather condition (including sun, rain, wind, rain and wind, snow, sleet, hail and fog).

Geoff does have a point though - think how long it took you all to work out each of your routes, and then think that you will have more time than that tomorrow on the way to the starting station to plan such a route anyway (and maybe even a team to help with it!).

But I admit it: I have been planning routes.

edit: By the way, my Cannon Street start, Bakerloo severe / Piccadilly minor delays, sun&fog route is a good fifteen minutes faster than yours, I can guarantee it!

Yes, because when it rains, the Thames floods at Putney Bridge.

Nope... nope.. I don't think you quite get it yet do you!?

Neil & Me: Don't have a route. We're winging it. We've spent enough time fending off pesky questions and organising this to spend time planning routes. We probably won't even run. We're thinking about coming last on purpose, we're so "not fussed" about winning!

So when you all get times much better than us, you can holler and cheer all you like in our faces, 'cause we'll be like "yup.. whatever..." :-)

And it's the Southfields signals that always fail in the rain .. not Putney!
