Myself & Dr Who are teaming up. At the moment with only two teams medals are guaranteed!
After the challenge we are meeting at The Green Dragon, 58-60 High Street, Croydon, CR0 1NA.
I'm not sure if we will be able to play darts as the pub is hosting "Freedom of Expression: The very best in acoustic music and poetry from around London and further afield.". Sounds interesting...

Don't miss this chance to claim an Olympic medal. (hint to Neil)

Hi there,

I'm hoping to come along, and I'll let you know if it turns out I can't make it (Soup Dragon, do you reckon you could PM me your mobile number or an alternative, just in case?)

Thanks,

Jonny

Damn, I've fallen into the "myself" trap.

The results are as follows:
1. 01:48:25 Jonny Lyon
2. 01:45:12 (32) Antony, Jamie & Ryan Brown

The challenge started well for team Brown and on the way up to Beckenham Junction we bumped into Jonny who had started about 15 minutes ahead of us. Both teams looked to be on for a good time at this stage. On our way back down we narrowly missed an Elmers End tram at Arena and had a 15 minute wait for the next. The same thing happened at Sandilands, just missing a New Addington tram and then facing a 9 minute wait. We decided to abort as we knew the game was up and Jonny had the gold secured.

We headed to Lebanon Road for a short walk to The Builders Arms only to find that they don't have a dartboard as advertised on "beer in the evening". We had a quick drink and waited for Jonny to arrive before going in search of a pub with a dartboard. After asking for some directions we eventually found The Royal Standard, with a very good dartboard and for the first time in TCDL history we threw from a proper oche. The darts however was of a relatively poor standard and Kevin will be relieved that nobody really made any inroads on his lead.

How long do they wait at Elmers End? Was there any possibility of running from Arena to Elmers End?

I did bugger all research for this challenge and to be honest had no idea of the geography of the tramlink. Having said that we did attempt to get from Arena to Elmers End by alternate means thanks to a cunning plan hatched by Doctor Who, however, we still failed to catch the tram we initially missed.
