I have loved to taken part in this but cant due to it being a friday is there any possibility next year of more warning.?
Yes of course, what do you think is an ideal lead time for an alternative challenge? I would have thought 2 - 4 weeks
joy54 wrote:I'll probably be able to make this but will confirm on Tuesday.

Also how long are we supposing that this challenge will take, last time it took just over 4 hours to reach Ealing Broadway...
I haven't run anything through journey planner but I would guess around 6 1/2 hours?

I may be making this, it depends on what my Czech friend wants to do.

Good work :D Any chance you could do a slight modification and post the alternative map as well showing Stratford  London Bridge  E & C  Waterloo  Stockwell :?:
I can then print off 4 copies of each map to bring on Friday

I think we should just stick to the original route of Stratford-Waterloo-E+C-Stockwell as this is the most efficient way of doing it.

I am happy to do that if everyone else is OK? That then leaves us the 2nd option to try next year and I can give Andi longer notice :P

Could the second route not be a "differentiater" if teams get caught by one another.

It could be one of the few opportunities to get ahead of the competition.

That's not a bad shout if you get caught at either Woodford or Stratford you may opt to alter route to Stratford  London Bridge  E & C  Waterloo  Stockwell...... The SOD approves this suggestion :D

If you are NOT caught you MUST continue on the original route as per Edgemasters map

Cheers :D

OK so this will only come into play as an option if a team is caught before London Bridge....

Right then, I've had one complication which has meant that I haven't been able to fully confirm my place until now. However that is now cleared, so I'll be coming along. Bearing in mind that my regular sidekick is on off on his gap year already, I'm requesting a team mate too, but I'd like to put in a stipulation that I'm part of the first team to leave Epping, purely as I'd like as much time as possible if the tube is running poorly to ensure I don't miss the coach back to South Yorkshire! I don't fancy a night on the floor of Victoria Coach station until the following morning, nor missing out on completing the challenge. See you all at 1115!

Fantastic, that makes 3 pairings, should make it a tad more interesting.
