Here's a Facebook page about the 2458 best things anybody ever said. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to list any of them.

Welcome back!

The figure in my last post was a reference to the distance between New York and Los Angeles. More precisely, this is 2462 (miles), the name of a site to "digitally and eventually physically connect creative, passionate individuals who live, work and travel between NYC & LA".

Let me take you now into the mysterious world of psychoanalysis. Sigmund Freud once wrote to a friend that he had finished reading proof sheets of The Interpretation of Dreams, and that he intended to make no further changes in the book "even if it contained 2467 mistakes". He then came up with the following psychoanalytic interpretation of why he chose the number 2467:
I had celebrated my 24th birthday in the military prison. Therefore I must have seen him [Colonel M.] in 1880, which makes it 19 years ago. You then have the number 24 in 2467. Now take the number that represents my age, 43, and add 24 years to it and you have 67! That is, to the question whether I wished to retire, I had expressed the wish to work 24 years more. [...] Thus we may justly say that not even the unintentionally thrown-out number 2467 lacks its determination from the unconscious.
Obvious really when you think about it

Shame I missed that one, I wanted to have "2-4-6-8 Motorway" by the Tom Robinson band. You'll have to make do with Toddington Services on the M1 instead. The PayByPhone location code for their northbound car park is 2469.

Not very original, but as my fact is that at Trowell (Northbound) Services on the M25 has the PaybyPhone code of 2471 I can't complain.
