1104 is a Keith Number.
2847 is similar, but starting from its square:

Code: Select all

2847^2=8105409

8+1+0+5+4+0+9=27
  1+0+5+4+0+9+27=46
    0+5+4+0+9+27+46=91
      5+4+0+9+27+46+91=182
        4+0+9+27+46+91+182=359
          0+9+27+46+91+182+359=714
            9+27+46+91+182+359+714=1428
              27+46+91+182+359+714+1428=2847

Issue 2854 of New Scientist magazine, dated 3 March 2012, was a special issue entitled "The Deep Future: A Guide to Humanity's next 100,000 Years". Don't you think they may have been a little over-ambitious there? Even Zager and Evans only got as far as 10,000.
