Odd way to play...
Score it according to the rules.
Which version?

It doesn't matter. It's an invalid claim irrespective of which version of the rules we're using. Tubeguru appears to have pressed the "self-destruct" button.

Scores as at 23:59 12/09/2015: weekly totals in brackets, overall totals in bold.

GuyBarry (3750) 33825
DavidC (3300) 26925
leamfarrar (750) 7425
Going Und. (1500) 5555
moley (2325) 1125
h. traveller (0) 375
tractakid (0) 18
tubeguru (-45000) -44400

Strong performance there from moley, who has now got out of negative points and leapt into fifth place. Going Underground is gradually closing the gap on leamfarrar in the competition for third place. For the second week running, it looked as though DavidC was going to close the gap on me, but once again I managed to sneak ahead at the end and increased my overall lead. Tubeguru is clearly going for the wooden spoon...

Is your forum clock correctly set? 17/09/2015 18:15 to 18/09/2015 18:41 is only 24 hours 26 minutes. I'm afraid I'll have to deduct the points.

Scores as at 23:59 19/09/2015: weekly totals in brackets, overall totals in bold.

GuyBarry (3300) 37125
DavidC (3150) 30075
leamfarrar (225) 7650
Going Und. (825) 6380
moley (5100) 6225
h. traveller (0) 375
Garion (90) 90
tractakid (0) 18
A Challenge (-1875) -1875
tubeguru (0) -44400

Some interesting changes this week. A barnstorming performance from moley, who for the first time was ahead on the weekly totals, and is now within striking distance of fourth place. A modest entrance from Garion, but an unfortunate opening play from A Challenge, who apparently misread the clock. Once again I thought DavidC was going to close the gap on me, but it looks as though I've slightly increased my lead for the ninth (?) week in succession...

I am sure that it said 17:14; but I have checked and it says 18:14. I am stupid!

It's OK, you're in good company - both tubeguru and moley made the same mistake at the start of the thread. I think tubeguru made it three times!

Don't forget to set your clock back to GMT at the end of next month :)

Just a quick reminder of the rules: the last three posts were

Garion 1 bell 01:35
leamfarrar 4 bells 05:28
A Challenge 170 weed 08:29

Leamfarrar's claim was invalid since 4 hours had not passed since the previous post, so A Challenge was entitled to claim 6 bells since invalid claims don't reset the clock. The claim of 170 weed is perfectly valid, but not the maximum possible.

I must check whether a claim is valid next time that I go to post in Tumbleweed!

Easily missed - I almost didn't spot that leamfarrar's claim was invalid, and I'm supposed to be keeping score!
