Chill ...

Just recently, esteemed member Starkey wrote this, in response to some pedantic argument about a photo:
Starkey7 wrote:I think that we should be more liberal when applying the rules. After all, this quiz is only a bit of fun.

Anyway, I entered this quiz too! (Although I did put Dollis Hill. :? )
I'd just like to highlight this bit: After all, this quiz is only a bit of fun.

The same applies to this forum. Just thought I'd mention that, as we seem to be taking it all way too seriously of late. Chill, people.

Just ban everyone then you'll have a happy quiet non argumentative forum ;)

I agree with both of the above.

This has got to be an April fools' joke, right?

No, I'm serious. I'm getting a little concerned that the fun is disappearing amid too many pedantic arguments and threats of deleted posts and locked threads.

I didn't have this in mind when I started the forum ...

I think you'll find the serious element comes from only a very small number of the posters here. Everyone else has their tongues planted firmly in their cheek most of the time. Or at least, I think they do...

I was just referring to a photo quiz organiser who discounts answers for being spelt wrongly, or phrased wrongly, or for two station names being used in the answer, even when it is abundantly clear what the contestant is saying.

And what's wrong with my submitting my answer quickly, then seeing something the next day and resending a corrected answer? Don't only accept the first answer. Rather, accept the last answer given.

It wasn't clear to me, hence throwing it open to the floor to tell me which station because I honestly didn't have a clue.

Maybe if we all sit cross legged in a circle and pass a "spliff" around that might calm the situation
