That is just preposterous. Not only is there one station with such a crazy floor pattern, there are two! I bet it was built just before the war, but as we aren't allowed 20 questions in which to answer the question, I may never know.

The pictures were, of course, from Westminster and Waterloo Jubilee line platforms.
They show the end of the strips of tiles that indicate where the platform edge doors are.
Interestingly, they're coloured slightly differently, and are the only places I've seen them on the JLE.
The clueful:
