Zone 1 - 2010. Warm Up or Wind Down event?

Post by hwolge »

I'm in the process of booking my airline tickets for Z1CC. Has anyone plans or intents on any Warm Up or Wind Down event? I.e. is there any Tube Challenge activity planned or intended for Thursday (June 3) and/or Saturday (June 5)?

Isn't the specific round of the R15 on the Saturday following?
Attempts: 2 (17h38m, 238 stations) (unknown, 200 stations); Completions: 0; GWR: 0; PBs: 0.

I do believe that the R15 will be taking the Saturday slot...

Tubefest 2010 week so far has three events:
Tuesday 1st June - TCDL Darts
Friday 4th June - Z1CC
Saturday 5th June - R15 Final Round

Does anyone fancy doing a quiz on the Thursday evening, perhaps we can get together a couple of teams?
One day I shall return!

What's happening with the R15? I've spent ages pacing round the forum searching for it and can't, to the extent that I've sent a slightly nervous PM to Tangy effectively asking him whether I dreamt that the R15 was even happening at all! Now I've found this I've cheered up no end!

All I know is that it's the day after Z1 and was planned at the start of the season to be a regular R15.

The R15 on Saturday 5th June is still scheduled to take place, with most likely the usual BERC organising it. This round is scheduled to be the last of the season and to confirm the R15 rankings for this season, all the more reason to do well!

This round also includes the NLR stations, but don't bank on the GPO-SRA section being open as it is running a bit late behind schedule and is touch and go whether the railway be be handed back on time (or whether more closures are required). There is always the good old GOBLIN!

This is a Central line train to "Woodford via Hainault"- sadly, not no more!

This could be quite a fun challenge what with all the closures:

Circle suspended from Hammersmith to Moorgate.
H&C suspended from KXSP to Barking.
Met suspended from Baker Street to Aldgate.
Jubilee suspended from Green Park to Waterloo.
W&C as per usual from 1830.
GOBLIN closed from 1700.
And for the record, the Willesden Junction to Clapham Junction stretch of the Overground will be shut from 1930.

Pass through only:
Blackfriars
Cannon Street
Notting Hill Gate
Latimer Road (closed Westbound only)
Paddington H&C
Warren Street

No service at all:
Farringdon & Barbican thanks to the tube closures listed above.
Kentish Town West to Hackney Wick inclusive should it be closed as Tangy suggests. (Excluding Highbury & Islington as that's also served by the Victoria Line.)
