Photo quiz - stations guessed up to the end of round 11

I've had a very, very boring Sunday.

I've edited out all the stations used in photo quizzes up to and including the current one.

I've also had a boring Sunday.

I've just moved to a place called Lauttasaari in Helsinki. There are numerous buses that go into the city centre, but all of them take different routes. To help me remember them all, I've made a Tube-map-esque diagram. As you can see.

Root, is there a special programme that you use? Or is it just a case of drawing lines and blobs?

Just drawing lines and blobs I'm afraid. The program is called GIMP.

Starkey, you could check out Inkscape - it's an open-source vector graphics editor for Linux, Windows and Mac OS. I've used the Linux version before to do similar drawings - it's pretty straight forward. Of course, it doesn't have all the features of a commercial package, but it has more than enough for you to create such drawings far more easily than with GIMP (in my opinion).

Cheers for the link. Been looking for something like this for some time.

Inkscape can also import PDFs, if you're really ambitious, it is possible to import the tube map and edit that. (It's what I've done in the past, in fact, I posted a tidied version on our wiki... I should really work on the new edition of the london boroughs map)

Glad to be of service. It can be a little unstable, but this can be countered by frequent, paranoid saves. The situation might have improved since I last used it, and it has plenty of features and is easy to use, which more than makes up for it my opinion.

In addition to what Tom wrote above - if you are really adventurous, you can create the tube map from scratch. I did something like this once, and got pretty far before getting distracted by something else.

You can also cross off Park Royal from quiz 1.17

This is what I was working on during the boredom... this was also through The GIMP - opening a PDF of the Tube Map, putting a layer over the top and ''painting' over it. Not the best looking map out there, I'll admit, but here be the Snake :)

That's quite probably true - but I have lots of GIMP experience and almost none with Inkscape. I must give it another try sometime.

Isn't open source software great? :)

Would someone care to update the first map in this thread to reflect the stations we've used?

Or, y'know, a bit less.
