Thanks - that's a useful site.

Unfortunately the new times mean I didn't finish with a top ten spot under the old configuration... a considerable fall from grace for the one-time record-holder.

The first recored times for the new DLR 40 challenge are as follows:

The times of these are as follows:
Attempt 1: Beckton- Bank: 02:02:13
Attempt 2: Bank- Beckton (after restarting twice) at 02 15 55
Attempt 3: Beckton- Lewisham 02 12 50

All made by myself on this very day.

This is a Central line train to "Woodford via Hainault"- sadly, not no more!

That would be me :D
Completed this yesterday as a warm up to the Mouse, in a new record time of 2h00m40s, going from Beckton to Tower Gateway (and no, it wasn't just a very, very slow train!).
Held some Alternative Challenge records for a long time.
Doesn't any more.

Do I really need to update this? Matt (Scriv)'s site seems to be the best source for top times these days.

It's not really "his" though is it, if he has to share it with three other people.

Did he benefit in any way from having the other three of you there?

(By the way, I'm not trying to belittle Iain's achievement - I'm just playing devil's advocate (again).

1st Andi James, Glen Bryant, Iain MacNaughton and Steve Wilson 2h:08m:57s 09/03/12
2nd Sean & Nigel White 2h:12m:22s 02/04/12
3rd Glen Bryant 2h:16m:34s 10/09/11
4th Ivo and friends 2h:35m:00s 02/09/11

Given it's the school holidays and my wife is away, my 10 year old son said that he wanted to have a go at the DLR record. Well today was just a reconnaissance, the real attempt is either tomorrow or Wednesday, so watch this space!
