I caught the bus too. It was perfectly timed for once.

Nope, only difference in my case was that I was going from Gallions Reach to KGV. It was also how I was able to make up the time I lost on the bottle earlier in the day as well. 2:04.00 is a new PB for me as it was my first attempt at it!

Wasn't paying much attention to the timing but I would guess at somewhere around the 2 mins marker based on the original timings I have on spreadsheet.

Current DLR Challenge leaderboard (as of 24th September 2017):

www.explorerticket.co.uk/tubechallenge/dlrtop.htm
Adjudicator of the Alternative Challenges and webmaster of the Tube Challenge "Top Times" website at www.explorerticket.co.uk/tubechallenge

This is a Central line train to "Woodford via Hainault"- sadly, not no more!

Now then...

Geoff has just posted a video with his attempt (and gave Tangy's website a good amount of publicity this time), but his interpretation of the rules surrounding the final station was that he's stopped his stopwatch when the train started to move. I'm not sure that counts, does it? But the ruling is incredibly hazy.

1 FNC Completion (PB: 17:18:18 with G Bryant, A Chilcraft, I MacNaughton)
4 Zone Ones (PB: 03:00:35 with G Bryant)
15 R15s (PB: 01:55:48 with T Cooling and R Jackson)
11 All Lines (PB: 00:44:03)

I have just watched it and would not award Geoff the time. As per rule 7 of the DLR Challenge: "If you finish by running/transferring to or departing from your last required station, or if your last required station is a "pass through" closed station, you must keep the stopwatch going until you arrive at the NEXT station in any direction".

This is not only consistent with the other alternative challenges I adjudicate but also with the rules for the official GWR Tube Challenge which also states this (one such example is running Chesham to Amersham to finish but the clock stops when you set foot on the platform back at Chalfont). In addition it would not be fair on other challengers who have followed this ruling and stopped their stopwatch at Shadwell after visiting Bank or Tower.

Geoff Marshall not knowing rules shocker! What more amazes me is the Geoff Marshall fan club on Facebook and the mindless minions who believe if Geoff does a video challenge naturally it's the record 😂 but then again I'm not surprised the amount of wallies out after all they gave him 34,000 pounds

Geoff seems to have relented on that, now, for the purposes of the leaderboard.

He's put, as a comment under his video:
I've submitted a time of 2h 6m 12s to the person that runs the leaderboard, as they will only take it as my arrival time back at Shadwell after leaving Bank, and this it what it was! I was recording on video as i arrive, so have worked out the difference between the timestamps on the files between the start and the finish ...
