I see no reason not to include every attempt made. Please reply to this thread with the time attained on your latest attempt. Don't post the write-up here, though, I only want to see the times so I can add them to the list.

Clearly, I've omitted some results - but not deliberately. I'd like to see this become a fully comprehensive list of all attempts of the Bottle Challenge, so please do reply to this thread stating the time and the competitors.

My best time was 2:09:44. See http://www.tubechallenge.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=46 for the details. Although this was the record at the time I am sure somebody beat it, although I can't remember who.

Er, I got round in 2 hours 3 seconds quite a while ago-I'm sure I posted on here.

I haven't tried to get under 2 hours since, which I probably should. On my last train, the doors opened after closing at my next to last station, costing at least 3 seconds :(

I managed 2hrs 17 minutes and 40 seconds - see here.

At the time, it was the second fasted recorded time.

Cheers,

Myself and Ollie Lewisohn had a go this evening, in the hope of getting under 2 hours, and got round in 2 hours, 6 minutes, 22 seconds.

Some lousy Circle connections cost us. However according to this list, I think we're still second overall on this run!

I'd like to add my time of 3:18'44" to this! This was of course my attempt at the Zone 1 thingy, so in particular qualifies for the Bottle challenge as well.

Another majestic time to add, achieved from Knightsbridge start at 1741 hrs and finishing at Aldgate on "Shoredich" night, 9th June... :D

Kevin and Ryan Brown (AKA K9) 2hrs, 27mins 02 secs... :P

And I did 2 hours 27 minutes ish. Started at 1733 at Knightsbridge, ended at 20:00 at Bank. Not sure about the seconds, but it was possibly slightly under 2:27:00.

What a great idea, doing the bottle challenge in 80f+, on the Friday night rush hour, and trying to get to Shoreditch in time.
Antony & Jamie Brown (Soup Dragon & The Doctor) set an incredible time of 2hr26:20. Quite remarkable considering we wasted at least 8 minutes trying to get a Circle line train from Aldgate to Embankment.
Then we made a schoolboy error towards the end of the challenge, our run from Euston Sq. to Warren Street we actually ran to Euston in error!
Schoolboy error number two was that we then ran all the way from Euston to Warren St. when all we needed was the Northern Line to TCR !!!

Although I agree that Edgeware Road (BAK) and Marylebone should not be included, we did actually visit both of those stations in the challenge last night.

I don't see the point in visiting them. I think we should start a poll for this.

Fine, I shall.

Whether it is my place to do so or not is another matter, but I did suggest a poll in the first place, and the discussion has not died down since then, so let's try and settle this.

Well done Ollie for starting the poll, it's looking a very close run thing at the moment 50/50.... The bottle challenge I did on 9th June did include the 2 dodgy stations and for what its worth my vote is to exclude them. My reasons are:
1. Geography of the two stations.
2. History of original maps.
3. Consistancy, should only include if they appear inside on ALL maps.
I know some people only see this as a novelty challenge but rules are rules :D

It seems like almost every route starts or ends from one of the following stations:

Aldgate
Bank
Knightsbridge
Queensway
Sloane Square

And, as such, it's weird to think that I came up with routes identical to some that have already been posted in various places in this forum, without seeing them (I don't have a computer at home, but I do have lots of Tube maps and a permanent pen!).

However, I think I've got something better. My estimate is 1 hour 50, assuming slightly above-average connections. Otherwise 1 hour 58! Only problem is, every time I try and do it the Circle line gets suspended.
