I'm giving it a go tomorrow (or possibly the day after), just in time. I've been spending a while in Brighton with my girlfriend, and am going home, but figured I could do a short challenge en route.

I have never done an All-Line challenge before, so I doubt I will be able to beat your time or come anywhere near it. I'm aiming for one hour.

I'm semi-fit, I plan to be running but I don't run all that fast!

I am now doing it tomorrow, Tuesday, and am fine for people to join me. I'll PM you with more info and contact details.

On the 28th March 2006, Peter Miller and Oliver L got...

1 hour, 4 minutes, 59 seconds.

So that's three seconds outside the top 10!? Crap.

Sorry for not posting this sooner - I haven't had access to a computer in ages. I thought Pete would post our time, but obviously not.

I think our route was good though - if we had been a little bit fitter physically, we probably could have saved a lot of time. On at least three occasions we had to wait five minutes for a train.

Congratulations on holding the record until September.

Last Week I traveled on the East London Line for the first time.
So that technically means my time for visiting all the line is about 18 and a half years....

Also since the whole Waterloo and City line closed could you do the challange without doing the W & C line?

Hi! Only found the site yesterday, and it presented the solution to my shortage of random things to do while killing time in London - showing that it was easier to make a 'game' out of tube travel than I thought...

So, realising that an attempt would be impossible at the weekend, I dived up to London tonight for my first timed attempt at the 'All Lines Challenge', which I'd tried before, but not with a stopwatch or route plan.

To cut a long story short, I didn't pick the best time, as Oxford Circus, Piccadilly Circus, Victoria, Green Park etc. were all absolutely rammed (admittedly, it was 7pm on a Friday night), and the central, circle and metropolitan lines were all having problems... and I just missed a connection at Whitechapel, that would have cut 5 minutes off.
This was just a trial run to find out what it was like, and practice for 'serious' attempts... and the time recorded was...
1 hour, 36 minutes and 20 seconds, leaving Bank at 18:23 and arriving in Shadwell at 19:59.
Will keep you posted on any other tries... no, I don't have proof of the time, but would it really be worth making up!? And that was tiring enough - I have more respect now for those who've done the big 275... think I'll save that one for the New Year!
Will Garner, if you want name for 'high scores' :P
