Re: Photo Quiz 10.17
That website looks like it hasn't been updated in ten years Repeating background image, Comic Sans font, thick blue borders around the images... but apparently it was updated in 2008! Crikey. All that's missing is a scrolling banner at the top saying "WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE".

I believe we've had two quizzes where the correct answer has been in Berlin, a bonus round in Caifornia, and a special in Milan.

I'm sure there's a semaphore on the end of that bay platform at Greenford Station?
Or I think there was a couple of years ago, anyway.

As recently as 1980.

The starting signal at Greenford for FGW trains is a semaphore still.jonny wrote:I'm sure there's a semaphore on the end of that bay platform at Greenford Station?

If you stand on the Hammersmith Road bridge and look at the station you will see a disconnected piece of track on the right which runs towards part of the old platform face. The other platform that side has now become the row of flats you see there.Starkey7 wrote:When did Olympia have five flaming platforms?!

Of further note, if you stand on the northbound platform you can see the original southbound platform face beyond the current southbound platform and the space where the fourth track (which served that platform, since removed). The current southbound platform stands on this very space where the fourth track used to be, and what used to be the southbound "through road" is now used to serve the current southbound platform.

This is a Central line train to "Woodford via Hainault"- sadly, not no more!
