"Where am I Quiz" with a Twist!

Can you identify a station from just a paving slab? Sadly, some people can

"Where am I Quiz" with a Twist!

Post by hwolge »

Having followed Soup Dragon's "Where am I Quiz" I foresee the decline of the game idea shortly, mainly because it will become to stereotype in the types of questions asked. It's almost like "Guess a number between 1 and 350, you may only ask Yes/No questions!" - but definitely slightly more entertaining as long as people try to come up with novel "interval halving" questions.

So, I'm prepared to stick out my neck in a, only slightly different, new version of the quiz! The difference is that the "hider" may LIE ONCE. This may sound trivial, but I think it could really add some spice to the game.

Let's see if any of you regulars join me...

OK, I'm thinking of a station on the 2008 map now, and I'm ready to answer your question, but remember I may LIE ONCE!

BTW I'd like to introduce the following definitions (to avoid ambiguity):
* Any line is ALWAYS EXACTLY ONE OF: Overground, Underground and DLR.
* Underground is subdivided in two mutually exclusive sets of lines: Tube and SSL (Sub-Surface Lines)

What an excellent twist with the "One Lie" rule, I think this will make the game much more skillful, especially for the person hiding knowing when best to play their "Lie" card. I don't have any questions for you yet but just wanted to say that it was a good idea.
One day I shall return!

Sorry, GU, missed your question there for a while... Ha, playing it boringly safe (Having interpreted "in the bottle", as including it's border, since it's a well known concept).

I think I'll introduce a new rule, effective immediately:

You can neither use
a) the same (or logically equivalant) nor
b) the exact opposite (or logically equivalent)
question f a single previous question asked in the same game...

Sorry, that would make it boring (in my mind)...

Oh, and one more rule, while I'm at it:

The "hider" cannot lie to a specific station guess!

So, another one GU, please...

Yes my thoughts exactly that the actual station guessed would have to be answered truthfully........

OK then are you outside Z1?
