Station Name Anagram Quiz

When I'm not running around the underground (which is most of the time - I'm still in Zone 1 on this forum!), I often indulge in my other hobby of Church Bell Ringing. Except I haven't been doing that of late due to Lockdown. So my regular Thursday night group have been holding virtual pub quizzes over Zoom instead, with each of us taking it in turn to be quizmaster.

Yesterday, it was my turn as quizmaster, and I included an anagram round. All of the solutions were anagrams of major UK railway stations. Then I thought that you lot might enjoy the station anagrams, so here they are for a bit of fun!

1. Dread sexist TV
2. Meteorite lover pills
3. Rents own nightware
4. Weirdly hung beaver
5. Whamming Bill's rhino

Well done all, they've all been solved!

Does anybody have any of their own they want to share? Maybe some more obscure stations? Only 2561 left to choose!

Again they are national rail stations although may also be served by tube

the anagrams are related to the tube although theese have nothing to do with the answers

IMPORTANT as a extra challenge one letter from anagram 2 and 4 isnt actually in the station name this has been added for extra difficulty

1 Borough R Snake
2 Tube Id Ridgeg
3 Leyton White
4 Charingmalt

Good Luck

get thinking

As there are *quite* a lot of NR rail stations, could you possibly give us a bit more guidance? e.g. Are they major/well-known stations? What county/region are they in? Something along those lines (no pun intended!).

1. Knaresborough
2. Guide Bridge (+t)
3. White Notley
4. Altrincham (+g)

It did help being able to narrow down the geographical area.
