If we go back to Grumbleweed, should we time it to the minute or the second? For instance, if I claim 1 point at 11:59:59, should the claim expire at 12:00:00 or at 12:00:59?
I would say second, but then that is Nimbleweed x 6?

No. NW: 1 pt = 10 sec (0.6 min) . GW: 1 pt = 60 sec (1 min)

Doesn't answer the question. Does the claim expire at the beginning of the minute or when 60 seconds have elapsed from the time of the claim?

Well we can play it like that if you like, but you're almost guaranteed to get a point if you claim just before the end of the minute.

Ten second isn't 0.6 seconds anyway! That is 60 seconds ÷ 10 = 6 seconds, and 6 seconds × 6 = 36 seconds.

That can come up as a common error in maths lessons, not so much now for me, 0.6 and 1/6 aren't the same!

So far I think you've given us:

2624 + 1 = 2634
132 - 1 = 121
3000 - 2937 = 43
95000 = 9500
100000 - 1 = 9999
100000 = 1000

and now 1/6 = 0.6 (I missed the last one until AC pointed it out). What are the rest of the class like?
