After writing one in in school, I thought it would be fun to see what you you guys come up with!
  • Five fifteen at Amersham
I knew we should have started at Chesham!
For the next train outs in half an hour
    In Chesham, it's now-ah!

Seven o seven at North Harrow
    I've eaten my emergency marshmallow!
    Preparing myself for the run
To the western station in the town

Ten twenty seven at Elephant and Castle
Can a tourist be so much of an Arsehole?
At Oxford Circus, he got on
But the train was in fact the wrong one!

    Eleven forty at West Ham
Guess who I just saw - Dave Lamb!
    The c2c is waiting there
To take us up to Upminster

One thirty three at Liverpool Street
I cannot stand this dreadful heat!
In the platform - is it a loop train?
Yes! Hallelujah! But in Woodford, there's rain.

    Three seventeen at Cockfosters
Where we are so very lost-ers
We need to get across to High Barnet
But we don't know the way - God Darnit!

Four fifty one at Canons Park
Already it's starting to get dark!
We've just got the bus from Edgware
But the rain soaked like the sea our hair!

    Five twenty one at Morden
Doing the double back to South Wimbledon
But the Northern Line has severe problems
Due to a one under in Clapham

    Seven thirteen at Ickeham
I really don't want to do this run!
To West Ruislip at gone seven
Just as the rain comes from the heavens

Nine fifty nine at Acton Town
    We're felling really rather down
For we missed the Kensington Olympia train
    The PITA station fails again!

Ten forty six at Heathrow T5
We did it! I want to dance and jive!
    Olympia was very annoying
But I'll have forgotten about it by the morning

    Five fifteen at Amersham
Yep - we're doing it again!
But this time we've got a different route
Although we still will have a hoot...
Any good?

Honestly?

Some of the rhyming doesn't really work. Poems don't have to rhyme, but this is a bit half way between rhyming and not

I love the first line of each first with the same structure and the time - telling the story but also creating a pattern. That was really cool

Thanks! I also once wrote an Underground haiku, but that was terrible!

Start at Stanmore
Travel some more
Canons Park, Queensbury,
And onto Kingsbury
Wembley Park - change for the Met
Neasden and Dollis Hill - they come next!
Willesden Green is rather long
Much longer than what's next - Kilburn!
Carry on to West Hampstead
Finchley Central - should have got the Met instead
Down through Swiss Cottage - It looks quite good
The same as St. John's Wood!
Baker Street - home of Sherlock
Bond Street is rather hot!
The Labyrinth of tunnels that is Green Park
Westminster is very dark!
Waterloo - promise to love you for ever more
But no one loves Southwark - not even a Boar!
London Bridge is falling down
Bermondsey seems out of town!
Canada Water, change for the Overground
Canary Wharf, the entrance is very round!
At North Greenwich there's a music venue
I get lost at Canning Town - do you?
West Ham is home to Danny Dyer
At Stratford, look out for the train powered by fire!
Those were the stations on the Jubilee Line,
How did I do? Hopefully just fine!

My Jubilee poem!
